Q & A
Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser 4.9 5 8 8
"I was only trying it out" I have been completely changing my skincare and makeup over the last three months as my skin is sensitive and very dry. I had tried many cleansing products until giving the exfoliator a go. With the very first go I was completely amazed on how effective it was as it even though it didn't seem to exfoliate like other products. I have been using it ever since. 26/04/2013
Excellent multi purpose product I'm currently using this as a face mask it's really easy to make up with a few drops of water and leaves my skin so soft and fresh 31/03/2013
Where has this been all my life? I've been using this of just under a month, along with the moisturiser for combination skin, having discovered the BMmakeup first and decided it made sense to use stuff designed to work together. Il've had a tricky skin history: teenage acne, which cleared in my 20s and came back with knobs on in my 30s. I'm now 67; skin is still oily and tends to breakout, and although its mostly under control, despite a meticulous - and expensive - care routine over 50 yearsand medication for 30+, ,I've never been able to get rid of the multiple blackheads in the fold of my chin... Last week I noticed, to my utter amazement, that my chin is clear. My skin feels smooth and soft,, neither dry - as some exfoliant a or anti- blemish products leave it - nor over-oily. I think my GP will be next to know! 12/10/2012
Its does work all my teenagers years I battled with blackheads and whiteheads. I never seem to find aything that work for my skin. Last year I gave up. now they have this in London. I wash it everyday with cleanser. blackheads seem to disappeared and whitehead did reduced. I cannot live with out it. never stop this....... 14/09/2012
I couldn't recommend this more. I love the powder I use it as either a quick cleanser or use it as a face mask. I just leave it on for a bit and relax. It lasts ages and makes my skin feel lovely. It is fantastic for spots. 12/08/2012
Leaves my skin feeling soft and polished. I was a little dubious about trying this as I had been using another brand since my teens but as I've been so impressed with the make up range I had to give it a go. It leaves my skin feeling cleaner than any other product I've ever used. I love the fact that it is so versatile and can be used as a cleanser, scrub or mask. It doesn't leave my skin feeling at all dry or tight and the scrub feels so gentle but effective. It just feels so good for my skin and I wouldn't go back to my old brand now. It also lasts for ages, I love it! 02/08/2012
luxurious Amazing, love the powder formulation, I use it as a face mask, I massage it on to damp skin and relax for a few minutes while it works magic! My skin feels soft and refreshed after using this, can't recommend it enough! Especially good for spotty skin. 20/06/2012
Softer feeling skin I was skeptical of using a powder exfoliater to start with however after only one use my mind changed. It cleaned my skin better than anything else and unlike other exfoliates didn't dry out my skin in certain areas. It kept it looking healthy, soft and radiant after every use. 30/05/2012

Being a BM newbie I was shocked to pour out powder from a exfoliator/cleanser bottle, but I love the idea. How much do you need to use for a general day to day cleanse? Pea sized or something like that? And how long will the bottle last using day and night?
How do you use it as a mask? I used it for the first time today and it wasn't very 'frothy', did I not use enough? I don't want to waste the product so advice on amounts and the mask aspect appreciated.

I use about two shakes of the bottle, a bit more than pea size. It needs water to work to I make sure my face and hands are damp. To use it as a mask, I mix it with a bit of purifying facial cleanser then apply it using small circular motions, then lie back and relax! It doesn't foam up much but leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. If you like a frothy face wash, try the deep cleansing foam, you need half a pea size to create a lovely, rich foam. My exfoliating cleanser has lasted me well over a year, there is still some left but I only use it once a day as I use purifying cleanser in the mornings. Hope this helps!

Hi. Our Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser is very versatile. You can use it day and night as a light exfoliating cleanser, a few times a week as a more thorough exfoliator and once a week as a mask.
For a light exfoliating use about the size of a 10p piece, mix with a little bit of water and gently massage over your face.
For a deeper exfoliation just add a bit more powder (another 10p piece) and use the same amount of water. The more cleanser and less water you use, the thicker the exfoliator will get.
Finally for the mask add even more powder, using a small amount of water and keep mixing it between your hands until you get a thick grainy paste. A little tip is to mix our Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser with our Purifying Facial Cleanser, and you'll get the perfect mask texture every time.

From the descriptions they look identical to me! Anyone who's tried both - which is better for exfoliation/oil control?

Hi Pat. Our Exfoliating treatment Cleanser is the best option for exfoliating, it has tiny polished grains that will gently exfoliate and help control oil. Our Deep Cleansing Foam helps control oil throughout the day, and deep cleans pores.

oh, Exfoliating treatment Cleanser is a Amazing for exfoliation and oil control. I actually use it everyday morning and night. it does reduce oil control. it is safe to use it everyday if you want to control oily skin. However with foam cleansing foam, I used to use that before, it actually made my skin dry so i wont recommened it. i would say go for purifying cleanser (cant remember spelling) and Exfolilating cleanser. hope this helps

I apply it to damp skin (it's activated by water) and leave it on for 5-10 minutes, it makes my skin feel amazing even when I wash it off straight away but when I leave it for longer it feels even better! I have left it on for longer and it didn't dry my skin, it just made my skin feel amazing, so I'd say leave it on for as long as is convenient (I put it on whilst I'm in the shower and wash it off just before I get out)
