Perfect for beginners
I too thought the colours work better separately. The blusher is quite bright, so had to blend it in to suit my skin tone. Personally i didn't like the green and the violet eye shadows together, but i like them individually. I also love the blue/black mascara and the lip gloss.

All lovely - separately
These products are all lovely colours, although they should not always be worn 'together' to get the best out of their colours and your face.
I LOVE the lipstick, my only problem is that I have run out and they don't sell this shade separately in full size! I wore this shade whilst I was a bridesmaid, it really brought out the blue in my eyes. I used a light brown eye shadow with this lipstick instead ( from the eyes, lips, cheeks set for lighter colourings) so that the lipstick didn't clash and it worked perfectly.
The blusher is lovely for a 'pop' of colour, brighter pink, it is nice to use on the apples of your cheeks on top of a more natural cheek colour to give a nice effect.
The lilac eyeshadow is very subtle and great for using if you have blue eyes to help them stand out. Fabulous dark blue mascara, subtle in the blueness, but made my eyelashes look great.
I would definitely recommend. Please produce the lipstick on its own!
