Q & A

Flawless Application Face Brush 3.8 5 46 46
Soft and Fluffy This is a really lovely brush. I use it to apply my mineral veil and it allows me to spread the product evenly over my face, giving me a freally good finish I have even washed this brush with baby shampoo and ones dries, look like new. 16/02/2015
Falls Apart I love Bare Minerals but I will never buy their brushes again. I've only had this brush a few weeks and it's bristles fall out so badly that they end up everywhere, including getting into my eyes. VERY poor quality for the price. VERY disappointed. 20/01/2015
going bald!! all the bristles fall off every time i use the brush have been using BM make up for years and i never encounter a problem so bad like this brush. after applying make up i find ALOT of the brush's bristles all over the place. BAD BAD BAD!!! 14/01/2015
GREAT FOUNDATION BRUSH I use this brush along with my BE loose mineral matte foundation and it really gives me a flawless look. Some people complain about the brush texture, but I think the brush is great. It works really well with the original and matte foundations. Great product! 19/12/2014
Great for Mineral Veil I use this brush for the original mineral veil. I wouldn't use it as a foundation brush because it is not firm and doesn't seem like it would provide good coverage. Love it though! 08/12/2014
It sheds hair! I got this as a part of the starter kit but I think I would not be buying this again! it sheds so much hair... I need extra time removing the fallen hair from my face and my dress! plz make this better.. The only reason i have given this a 3 star is because it really applies the foundation very well! 12/08/2014
I wouldn't buy it, honestly. This brush came with my foundation starter kit, which is fine, but I probably wouldn't purchase another. The bristles are a bit long, and they could be a bit softer in my opinion (as you are buffing, you skin can get a little sting from this brush). Someone on here said that they needed a hair removal roller after using this because it shed so bad, and I remember thinking, "Oh god, they are so exaggerative." No, no they really aren't exaggerating at all! I was in shock at how many hairs were all over my shirt after my first few uses. Not sure if it is going to eventually stop shedding so much, but not sure if I will keep using it as my main buffing brush, either. Overall, not something I would recommend unless it was free or heavily discounted. 10/07/2014
Great for Mineral Veil I have used this brush for applying both READY touch up veil and the loose powder mineral veil. It works great for both. The bristles are soft, but it does seem to shed a little bit. 09/07/2014
Favorite Face Brush This is my favorite brush because it is so versatile. It came with my Complexion Essentials Get-Started Kit, and I'm so glad for it. I use this brush mostly to apply Pure Radiance over my cheeks and brow bone, sometimes using it on the bridge-of-nose, forehead and chin area. I have also used it to apply Mineral Veil over my entire face, but I like to have one brush dedicated per product so colors don't get mixed up. It provides light-to-medium coverage. I don't own many BE brushes (I also have the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush & the Heavenly Face Brush), but it is the softest of those three and definitely way softer than the drugstore and other online retailer brushes that I've owned. I've washed it twice with the BE Brush Conditioning Shampoo. It cleans and reshapes easily, and I haven't had any shedding issues. 01/07/2014
good makeup brush, but not the best I got this brush in one of the Get Started kits a little while ago. I mainly use it to apply the Original and Matte Foundations. It gives a light to medium coverage with those products, just as BM promises. If you want more coverage from those foundations, I don't think this is the brush for you for that purpose. It you do want light to medium coverage, this brush does a great job picking up the powder and buffing it onto the skin. I know other people have used this brush to apply Warmth and Mineral Veil as well. The brush itself isn't the softest brush I've ever owned but it certainly isn't harsh on my skin. I haven't had many shedding issues, but my brush is relatively new so I'll have to see what happens there. Overall, my advice would definitely be to look at the uses of other BM brushes and just decide which best fits your needs! 18/05/2014

I know its a weird question but using it frequently and washing wid a plain shampoo/ face wash makes it a little rough and scratchy... So I was just wondering if it would be right to use a conditioner after washing the brush..

I never condition my brushes, I just wash them with johnsons baby shampoo, rince very well and then leave them to dry flat.

Once dry, I swirl around my palm of hand to reshape

A:
Johnsons baby shampoo.

I have been washing my brushes with this for years.

After washing, make sure you rince the shampoo off well, then lie the brush flat to dry.
Once the brush is dry, swirl it on the palm of your hands to reshape.

Before I invested in the brush shampoo I used to use my facial cleanser - Dermalogica special cleansing gel. It did the trick and I figured if it was good enough for my face it should be fine for the brushes ;-)
A friend uses baby shampoo.
Hope this helps.

I find the BareMinerals shampoo works best to wash my brushes with as it really gets into all of the cracks and washes them well, but because of the sensitivity of the brush I would use a regular shampoo, as that will still wash the brush well without causing too much damage.

When I have run out of my BM shampoo in the past I have used baby shampoo - it's really gentle but still cleans the brushes really well.
