Q & A

Flawless Application Face Brush 3.9 5 41 41
It sheds hair! I got this as a part of the starter kit but I think I would not be buying this again! it sheds so much hair... I need extra time removing the fallen hair from my face and my dress! plz make this better.. The only reason i have given this a 3 star is because it really applies the foundation very well! 12/08/2014
I wouldn't buy it, honestly. This brush came with my foundation starter kit, which is fine, but I probably wouldn't purchase another. The bristles are a bit long, and they could be a bit softer in my opinion (as you are buffing, you skin can get a little sting from this brush). Someone on here said that they needed a hair removal roller after using this because it shed so bad, and I remember thinking, "Oh god, they are so exaggerative." No, no they really aren't exaggerating at all! I was in shock at how many hairs were all over my shirt after my first few uses. Not sure if it is going to eventually stop shedding so much, but not sure if I will keep using it as my main buffing brush, either. Overall, not something I would recommend unless it was free or heavily discounted. 10/07/2014
Great for Mineral Veil I have used this brush for applying both READY touch up veil and the loose powder mineral veil. It works great for both. The bristles are soft, but it does seem to shed a little bit. 09/07/2014
Favorite Face Brush This is my favorite brush because it is so versatile. It came with my Complexion Essentials Get-Started Kit, and I'm so glad for it. I use this brush mostly to apply Pure Radiance over my cheeks and brow bone, sometimes using it on the bridge-of-nose, forehead and chin area. I have also used it to apply Mineral Veil over my entire face, but I like to have one brush dedicated per product so colors don't get mixed up. It provides light-to-medium coverage. I don't own many BE brushes (I also have the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush & the Heavenly Face Brush), but it is the softest of those three and definitely way softer than the drugstore and other online retailer brushes that I've owned. I've washed it twice with the BE Brush Conditioning Shampoo. It cleans and reshapes easily, and I haven't had any shedding issues. 01/07/2014
good makeup brush, but not the best I got this brush in one of the Get Started kits a little while ago. I mainly use it to apply the Original and Matte Foundations. It gives a light to medium coverage with those products, just as BM promises. If you want more coverage from those foundations, I don't think this is the brush for you for that purpose. It you do want light to medium coverage, this brush does a great job picking up the powder and buffing it onto the skin. I know other people have used this brush to apply Warmth and Mineral Veil as well. The brush itself isn't the softest brush I've ever owned but it certainly isn't harsh on my skin. I haven't had many shedding issues, but my brush is relatively new so I'll have to see what happens there. Overall, my advice would definitely be to look at the uses of other BM brushes and just decide which best fits your needs! 18/05/2014
My original one was great ... my last two sheds I loved my original brush from years ago but as all good things come to an end, my last two brushes I bought shed. I am so disappointed because I use to love this brush but now I find it all over my clothes and face. I wish it was manufactured better. 07/04/2014
Perfect! I have been using this brush for 18 months now and it is just as fab as it was when I bought it. Lovely and soft, it helps apply my foundation and mineral veil flawlessly. It doesn't drop hairs and washes really well. LOVE! 18/12/2013
It was good at first.. When I first got this brush, I thought it was awesome, but the longer I used it the worse it got. It lost all it's shape, started to shed like crazy and didn't apply the product as well as it did in the beginning. I have found much better brushes to use with this product that do it justice. I will not be picking this brush up again. 07/12/2013
Flawless Application Face Brush I have a love/hate relationship with this brush. On the one hand, it applies my blush/bronzer/mineral veil evenly, without being too much. On the other hand, the bristles do shed and lose some of its softness. Also, because the bristles are natural, after you wash them they do become soft again, but lose some of stiffness in sticking together. Overall, it does do a good job of applying what I need it to and making it look "flawless;" just wish that for one of the staple brushes it would keep some of its integrity. 03/12/2013
Great for all-over face color and blushes This was one of the first BE brushes I ever bought. I use it for warmth all over face color, blushes and bronzers. It helps ensure the colors go on smoothly and naturally, without a cakey look. I can use this to also brush color under the jawline or even my neck, and it works great. I own several of these, and I use them all the time. 18/11/2013

I know its a weird question but using it frequently and washing wid a plain shampoo/ face wash makes it a little rough and scratchy... So I was just wondering if it would be right to use a conditioner after washing the brush..

Before I invested in the brush shampoo I used to use my facial cleanser - Dermalogica special cleansing gel. It did the trick and I figured if it was good enough for my face it should be fine for the brushes ;-)
A friend uses baby shampoo.
Hope this helps.

I find the BareMinerals shampoo works best to wash my brushes with as it really gets into all of the cracks and washes them well, but because of the sensitivity of the brush I would use a regular shampoo, as that will still wash the brush well without causing too much damage.

When I have run out of my BM shampoo in the past I have used baby shampoo - it's really gentle but still cleans the brushes really well.
