Applying the Makeup is Easy

1. Swirl
a small amount of bareMinerals into the lid with the Flawless Application Brush (for lighter coverage) or the Full Coverage Kabuki Brush (for more coverage) until the bareMinerals are tucked into the bristles.

2. Tap
off excess. bareMinerals should not be visible on the outside of the brush.

3. Buff
bareMinerals onto the skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the outside of your face near your cheekbones. Then, buff around your face, working your way to the cheeks, forehead, and nose. Buff until you're satisfied with the coverage. Less is more when applying bareMinerals.

Perfect in every sense of the word I never ever usually wear foundation, as I can get spots really easily and I hate the texture of liquid stuff. That plus the fact that a lot of typical foundation-wearers look like oompa-loompas. That wasn't what I was going for! For prom I thought I probably needed something on my face so I booked a bareMinerals make-under where they applied primer, loose powder foundation and a mineral veil. I have never felt so pretty in all my life, and I think my friends were jealous! I couldn't feel it at all, it was so light, and it looked like my face was bare but totally flawless! I loved it so much I bought it :) Everyone should invest in this, it definitely will not let you down at all! 18/05/2013

unsure! this is probably the only foundation i can wear that doesn't break me out! i got matched for this in a department store and i think i was matched the wrong color as it tends to go quite orange on my skin. despite the application being easy it tends to wear off on drier areas and accumulate in a thick mask on oily areas (even with correct primer) so you need to reapply ever 4 hours i'd say.. not suitable if you're super busy like me! as well as this i don't like the shininess of the powder. because it is so shiny it will accentuate any bumps on your skin such as scarring and spots (mine look soo obvious with it!!) so its a better investment if you have smoother skin. as well as that you have to really build up a cakey layer on your skin for high coverage if you have spots like me, it doesn't cover my red spots/ eyebags despite claims and still looks obvious that i'm wearing make up!! if i were to buy again i would go a shade down and buy the matte version... BE VERY CAREFUL WITH YOUR CHOICE! 11/05/2013

Amazing and Healthy for your skin! This foundation is amazing! I have been struggling with acne for year and love this mineral powder foundation that doesn't clog pores and is so light you forget your wearing anything! I love the fact that it is good for your skin and doesn't contain any bad chemicals (like most foundations) and they offer a wide variety of shades for all skin types. My sister and I have been wearing Bare Minerals for years and I recommend it to all my friends! 30/04/2013

Best foundation I will never use any other brand of foundation. The original foundation provides full coverage while being light and allowing your skin to breath. It makes your skin look natural and flawless. This product is a must-have! 28/04/2013

Wonderful feeling, could use more coverage I switched over to Bare Minerals after some convincing from my roommates- a handful of them wear it. I love the feel when buffing it on, it feels like I am not wearing any makeup at all (which I had gotten used to for my entire freshman year of college). I love the radiance and light Bare Minerals adds to my skin. My friends compliment me often on how natural my skin/make up appears. I believe my skin tone and texture have actually improved with use as well- tone is very even and the texture is very smooth and soft! I give this foundation only 4 stars because I love the way it feels and looks, but I wish there was a bit better coverage. My acne scars and blemished do not even come close to being covered, but the foundation does minimize it a bit. I have recommended Bare Mineral products to every girl I have met since- especially those with sensitive skin- because the product feels so amazing. Weightless! The foundation is extremely light. It doesn't feel like I have a layer of make-up caked onto my face and it gives my skin a flawless and natural look without having to put a lot on. The container is great with the the movable/closing top so that the make-up doesn't spill out all over the place. I had been struggling a lot with my skin looking cakey after putting make-up on because of my extremely dry skin but I feel that this foundation has actually helped to prevent my skin from drying out and flaking. The size of the container was larger than I expected which was a nice surprise! I gave it a 4 for 2 reasons. The first is because I felt some of my pores because more noticeable with this product however I fixed that by adding a light layer of tinted moisturizer underneath. I am used to wearing a liquid foundation so changing to a powdered one has been an adjustment for me. The second is because I find this has too much of a glow for my liking. I would prefer it for a night out but during the day I feel I will go with the matte next time as it is the look I am more accustomed to. Otherwise I love the product and will continue purchasing it ... and will definitely recommend it to all of my friends! :) 20/04/2013

Skin Perfection I have been using the Original BM foundation for a good long time, and I get so many compliments on my skin. It has converted almost anyone who asks from liquid foundation over to BM. You must try this make up!!!! My daughter had been trying to get me to use bare minerals. She works at a salon. She finally bought me the kit. Loved this the moment it went on and havent used any thing else since --that was 4 years ago! I am 58 yrs old and have spots and large pores. This make up covers everything and you will never feel like you have make up on. I wear it all day and it has sunscreen too! I love the pure radiance all over cover. People are always asking me about my skin and how I keep it looking so good. It is definately the make up my skin is not that great! I have normal skin and use medium beige. I wear very little make up- just the foundation and sometimes the radiance or mineral veil if its somewhere special. If I want some color I will use the warmth as blush. It lasts me a long time! Where Have you been all my life! WOW! why has it taken me so long to give bare minerals a try! my friends noticed the minute id got back from the makeup counter that my skin was flawless! they asked where i had been and what had i done! the powder gives the perfect flawless coverage and when used with a primer it stays put all day! i use this loose powder at home in the mornings and use the READY foundation for touch ups during the day in my handbag as i have to admit being scared of mess but the new 'click and lock' system on the pots seems to kee every grain of powder in the pot (just dont forget to twist it till it locks!) 11/04/2013

Details:

I am getting married in September this year and have been told that SPF in make up can be an issue with photography. Please can you provide some advice on what would work best for me. I currently use the original foundation and mineral veil.

hi there, i believe makeup artists use bare minerals in their professional photo shoots so i dont think it will cause a problem, just carry on with what you are doing :)

It has not been scientifically proven that SPF in make-up affects the quality of your skin in photos at all - from my experience it seems to be an urban myth. Moreover, the SPF of Bare Minerals make-up is fairly low and, if working in tandem with a blush or bronzer, should not be an issue in photography. The fine texture of Bare Minerals foundation and it's luminous finish should make it for perfect wedding-day make-up :) Hope this helps!

I reccomed Liquid foundation on your wedding day, in pictures of myself in the makeup my flaws and bags can sometimes be braught out by the camera. Bare minerals is great for every day use- but for your wedding try a natural foundation and blush Goodluck!

Our Original and Matte Foundations used with Mineral Veil will give you a naturally flawless look on your wedding day. The SPF in the foundations should not have any negative effect on your wedding photographs. If you were looking for a longer-wearing, fuller coverage you could always try our READY SPF20 Foundation which launches nationwide in March.
