  • BEliever Tip!

"I lightly mist my Flawless Application Face Brush with mineral water and then Swirl, Tap, Buff® as usual. My skin tends to the dry side and this method leaves a smooth, dewy look." — Michelle B.

Applying the Makeup is Easy

  • Swirl, Tap, Buff

  • 1. Swirl
a small amount of bareMinerals into the lid with the Flawless Application Brush (for lighter coverage) or the Full Coverage Kabuki Brush (for more coverage) until the bareMinerals are tucked into the bristles.

    2. Tap
off excess. bareMinerals should not be visible on the outside of the brush.

    3. Buff
bareMinerals onto the skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the outside of your face near your cheekbones. Then, buff around your face, working your way to the cheeks, forehead, and nose. Buff until you're satisfied with the coverage. Less is more when applying bareMinerals.

ORIGINAL SPF 15 Foundation - null 4.7 5 295 296
Amazing Foundation! Since i first bought this foundation i've found that i always come back to this. I have dry / senstive skin so suffer with redness which this fully covers. Although its powdery to start with in the container, once warmed up this is so light and covers the skin without leaving any powdery residue or look patchy. This with the Bareminerals Brightening Serum is the best thing i have discovered when it comes to foundations. I highley recommend! :) 22/06/2015
THIS STUFF IS AMAZING This foundation is absolutely amazing! I have had some skin troubles recently so when I went to the dermatologist we talked about what foundation I should be using and when I told her that I wore bareMinerals she said that was always her first recommendation for patients that are suffering with skin troubles because it doesn't contain all of the harsh ingredients that most foundations contain! So, not only is this foundation good for your skin and recommended by a doctor who specializes in clearing peoples faces but it also gives the most amazing coverage! Because of my recent term visits I started using different creams that dried out my skin a lot and before I was really oily! But this foundation looks amazing on me when I am extremely oily and when I am extremely dry! So do not shy away from this product just because it is often marketed towards people who have drier skin! I love looking flawless but I do not want to be able to feel my foundation on my face and my mom's biggest pet peeve is when she can tell that I am wearing foundation! So when finally found a foundation we can agree on with bareMinerals! I also just want to say that if you aren't sure about your shade (self matching is never really that great of an idea trust me!) go to a boutique and they are always so helpful! It is one of the only makeup stores I actually enjoy going to because I feel like they aren't trying to pressure me into buying a whole bunch of stuff that I don't need! 15/06/2015
Have a draw full of foundtions ? Look no further! I was a little dubious when I bought BareMinerals. I have (had) a draw full of foundations from several top leading brands. I found it difficult to match foundations in the past and the either didn't provide coverage or made me skin look yellow or orange. I have pale neutral skin tone and I have redness in the cheeks, dark circles and blemishes. I used to wear an immense amount of foundation to cover my skin which often left it worse off and affected and changed my skin to either dry or oily. I decided enough was enough. I went to one of the counters and spoke to the ambassador. I told her my issues and she took of my existing mask of make up and showed me how to disguise my blemishes, redness and dark circle without caking my skin and heavy foundation. She recommended me to try the get started kit. After using for only a week my skin has cleared up (not completely but hey I've only been using for a week!) , the redness has toned down, my dark circles cannot be seen. my foundation looks flawless and like its my own skin. The foundation search is over and the foundation drawer is no more. Thank you BareMinerals. You've saved me a fortune and saved my skin too! 13/06/2015
Wonderful I've been using the original foundation for 11 years. When I first saw an infomercial for BE I thought there was no way it could work as advertised. Then a friend tried it and raved about it. So I tried it. WOW!!!! I have bad skin and even at my age (61) I still have breakouts but not as bad as before and I credit that to BE. Even with my oily skin it stays on all day, doesn't cake or crease, or turn an unpleasant color. I still thank my friend for introducing me to BE! 12/06/2015
Adore this! I've been using bare minerals original foundation for the last decade and I absolutely cannot live without it! It offers excellent coverage and is very easily applied. Quick, easy and looks flawlessly natural, not fake or painted on! I love this so much! 09/06/2015
best make up i've used so far! I've tried lots of make ups, and its really hard for women of color to find shades that match well. Bare Minerals is the best foundation i've used thus far and will be the last. It looks great in multiple shades, and I have tried about 4 and even when they weren't my exact match they looked great. But i was able to eventually find my match -Warm Tan which i will wear until discontinued..... hope that never happens. 08/06/2015
Amazing product this makeup gives any amazing cover and feels like I'm not wearing any make-up at all. I have had many compliments regarding my complexion and how young my skin is looking. 07/06/2015
Good coverage, not struck on product I've been meaning to try this for months, so I finally purchased it and don't get me wrong its a good coverage but I found the product is glittery and doesn't last long. As soon as I start getting warm it starts to melt and go patchy. 05/06/2015
best foundation ever!!!!! I have really trouble some skin and this helps that so much! Keeps oil away and covers great! 03/06/2015
Once you try bare minerals, you will never go back! Bought this foundation about a week ago at my local store as part of the 'flawless complexion essentials' kit and it's amazing! I use the handy buki brush which is great for full coverage (if you prefer a lighter coverage simply don't use as much product or don't buff the foundation as much). I I originally bought the ready foundation about a year ago but my skin tends to be quite oily and as the ready foundation is oil-based I had to blot so many times during the day. My skin still tends to be oily, but I definitely don't blot as often as I used to; I tend to blot 1-2 times per day now plus before reapplying foundation throughout the day (although if I'm honest I only ever need to touch up once!) My skin is very irritated (acne and can be quite oily) so I don't feel guilty wearing any bare minerals product as I know not only are they not harming my skin, but they're beneficial to my skin, too. If you have similar skin to mine I would speak to the make up artist and see whether they recommend the original foundation or the original matte foundation. Personally I think I like the original even though I still blot during the day however you may prefer more of a matte look, it's all down to your personal preference! 02/06/2015

In my opinion you need the right brush, I tried with one and it did emphasize my wrinkles and flaky skin, but then I tried the precision face brush and it looks amazing. I would maybe go to a retailer and ask to try it so you can see though as im not sure one brush fits all!

I think as long as you exfoliate and moisturise your skin before applying make up it will look very natural and flattering on the skin.

Definitely not, in my opinion. I'm 64 and have dry skin, and find the BM foundation just wonderful. It might take a while to master the technique, buffing with a brush, but a store rep would be very pleased to demonstrate. If you haven't already done so, I'd say - go for it!

Absolutely, all our Foundations are suitable for all skin-types. If you are concerned about dry skin we would recommend moisturising and using our Prime Time Foundation Primer prior to applying our bareMinerals Foundation. This will help to smooth over any dry patches and give you perfect foundation application. Also our bareMinerals READY SPF 20 Foundation is great for those with dry skin as the formula is really hydrating. Hope this helps.

I love this foundation and got brought the starter kit for Christmas but as I am a student with a low income I wondered how long the foundation has been lasting people as I wouldn't be able to go out and just buy it again when it's gone, I'd have to put some money away?

I'm also a student so I can easily tell you it lasts quite a while! I got my starter kit almost two years ago now and its just running out. Depending on how often you use it, it should still last you a long time. I bought the larger 'original' foundation for myself (with my student loan!) and I can guarantee that it will last a while.

We can't give you a guaranteed answer unfortunately as it all depends on how much you use, but on average we would advise a standard pot of our bareMinerals Foundation would last about 3-4 months.

It is very difficult to shade match online. If your skin tone is more yellow when tanned then we would recommend trying the shade Light. However if your skin goes a pink more of a pink tone when tanned then we would recommend trying out Fairly Medium. You could always check out our online Foundation Shade Finder to help you decide: http://bit.ly/12Njp5g

Dear Sir/Madam,
I bought the Golden deep N50 (compact foundation). This colour was perfect for me. Unfortunately I accidently dropped it all on the floor. I went in store to get a replacement and was given a colour that was too yellow in tone for my complexion - R510. Can you please tell me what this colour is now called ? And whether I need to get the cool or golden range.

If possible, I think it would help a lot of your customers if a chart of the original compact foundation colours and their correlating replacements were posted online. Thanks.

Our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation in Golden Deep was renamed to shade R510. If you still find this too yellow for your complexion we would recommend trying out R530. It may be best to pop into one of counters for another shade match so you can be sure you’re getting the right shade for your skin tone. The shades for our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation never changed, only the names of them did. On our bareMinerals READY SPF 20 Information Page we do have a comparison guide to help you out between Original SPF15 Foundation shades & bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation shades: http://bit.ly/19tLxTQ

It is really difficult to shade match online. Our READY SPF20 Foundation tends to be slightly lighter than our Original SPF15 Foundation, so even though R210 may be little too light, Medium in our Original Foundation may be the right shade. If you can, try to pop into your local bareMinerals Counter to get shade matched by one of our Beauty Ambassadors. If this isn't an option we would recommend trying our Medium if you have a slight pinky tone to your skin, and Medium Beige if you have a neutral skintone.

Hi,
I usually use medium tan during the summer months but if that comes up too dark for you mix a little of your medium beige and medium tan together to give you a more customized colour which you can tweak to your skin tone :)

It is really difficult to shade match online, as your skin-tone may slightly change when you have a tan. Your Medium Beige has neutral undertones, and if you feel that with a tan you still have neutral undertones, we would recommend trying the shade Tan. You can always pop into your local bareMinerals Counter to get shade matched by one of our Beauty Ambassadors.

It has not been scientifically proven that SPF in make-up affects the quality of your skin in photos at all - from my experience it seems to be an urban myth. Moreover, the SPF of Bare Minerals make-up is fairly low and, if working in tandem with a blush or bronzer, should not be an issue in photography. The fine texture of Bare Minerals foundation and it's luminous finish should make it for perfect wedding-day make-up :) Hope this helps!

Our Original and Matte Foundations used with Mineral Veil will give you a naturally flawless look on your wedding day. The SPF in the foundations should not have any negative effect on your wedding photographs. If you were looking for a longer-wearing, fuller coverage you could always try our READY SPF20 Foundation which launches nationwide in March.
