  • BEliever Tip!

"I lightly mist my Flawless Application Face Brush with mineral water and then Swirl, Tap, Buff® as usual. My skin tends to the dry side and this method leaves a smooth, dewy look." — Michelle B.

Applying the Makeup is Easy

  • Swirl, Tap, Buff

  • 1. Swirl
a small amount of bareMinerals into the lid with the Flawless Application Brush (for lighter coverage) or the Full Coverage Kabuki Brush (for more coverage) until the bareMinerals are tucked into the bristles.

    2. Tap
off excess. bareMinerals should not be visible on the outside of the brush.

    3. Buff
bareMinerals onto the skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the outside of your face near your cheekbones. Then, buff around your face, working your way to the cheeks, forehead, and nose. Buff until you're satisfied with the coverage. Less is more when applying bareMinerals.

ORIGINAL SPF 15 Foundation - null 4.7 5 262 262
Love this product... but it has its downsides Though I do wear this product daily, I only use it as a concealer for my nose, t-zone and my cheeks since those places are where I need the most coverage because of spots. I don't use it as a foundation because it can look a little cakey and it has too high a coverage in areas that I don't need much coverage. This foundation is supposed to be good for oily skin, but I find that by the end of a school day my nose and cheeks are shiny, but the make up itself doesn't rub off and reveal redness. Also, even though I had the foundation picked out to match my skin type by the make up artist working there, it looks very light on my skin and makes me look really pale, even though I have a slightly olive skin tone. I would buy this again and I have recommended it to friends with a normal skin type. 25/02/2015
OMG I love it! This is now my favorite foundation! I use it almost everyday. It offers superb coverage, and doesn't make my skin oily. 20/02/2015
Best coverage and clean smooth finish I have been using this foundation since 2006! It's amazing coverage and if your looking for full it's buildable. Feels like I don't have any makeup on at all and I love the finished smooth look. 19/02/2015
Best coverup I have ever used I've been using the original foundation spectrum for about 3 years and it has been the best decision I've made! I've always had the worst acne since I was 10 & I'm 18 now and ever since I started using this my acne has reduced significantly! Also I have very dry skin so this helps! 15/02/2015
Finally ran out I've been a BE user since 2010 and I use all of BE's foundations, depending on my mood, my skins mood, and how fast I need to be ready. I like to purchase kits because they come with original foundation and I always have some. To my surprise, I ran out for the first time in years. So since I was going to be in the area of a store I was off to the store for the first time since 2010. I wish there were a boutique closer to where I live. 14/02/2015
Easy and awesome! I don't normally wear makeup because I never liked liquid makeup. I walked into an actual Bare Minerals store and they gave me a free demonstration. I was so amazed by how flawless my skin looked compared to before...skin irritation redness, sun damaged skin discoloration. It didn't hide everything but just made it look a lot better. Bonus: it's all powder! It is so easy to apply and so now I use it every day! 12/02/2015
Absolutely great For a while now I have been trying out lots of different foundations, until just after Christmas I found the bare minerals foundation. I would never look back its amazing. The woman in the shop was so helpful and managed to help me discover the perfect colour. My skin doesn't look orange and I don't have a Line at the side of my face. My skin just looks so natural. 10/02/2015
Absolutely Amazing Foundation I have always used the cheap foundations which I found gave me spots & clogged up skin. After using the Original SPF 15 Foundation I will never go back to the other products. Since I purchased this foundation I have bought all bareMinerals skin care products and lots of there other make-up. Highly recommend! Absolutely Amazing!! 05/02/2015
Best foundation out there! I have noticed a BIG difference in my skin after using Bare Minerals makeup for almost a year! I started using this foundation and then over time ordered makeup for everything I need. The only thing I haven't tried is the mascara! This foundation is so light, it feels like I'm not wearing any makeup! It looks so natural but covers my "imperfections" flawlessly! Pair this with the must have Tinted Moisturizing Gel and your face will thank you!! Plus this product also makes you lose 10 pounds! -hah, kidding! But really, if you are questioning using this product then trust a person you don't know and get it! *I am still using the same container of foundation that I bought almost a year ago!! This will last forever! **this product will not make you lose weight...you don't need to anyway, you are beautiful and you only get one body so love it! Plus, you are buying the best makeup out there and you will look awesome! Rock it, girl! ;) 05/02/2015
Flawless! I bought this as I wanted to allow my skin to breath more as I was having break out issues at the time. I was sick of having that caked on feel that I get with liquid foundations. This really was a breath of fresh air for my skin. I am fair with a fairly neutral undertone with combination/ dry skin and bought the colour 'fairly light' which was perfect. When applying this the first time I loved how lightweight the feel was but wasn't sure about its coverage, as I felt I needed more. However on my second attempt I used a medium sized powder brush to apply and the result was amazing. Flawless healthy looking skin with a 'no make up' affect. I didn't even need concealer to cover blemishes (which is unheard of with me) as the coverage was THAT good. A tip I would give with this particular product is to build the coverage, start with a little and build it up to create the most natural effect. I would also recommend to exfoliate and moisturise before using this as due to it being powder based it can cling to dry skin. My only fault that I could say would be that it can appear to wear off and look cakey at the end of the day. To avoid this I would not apply too much product in oily areas of the face, and would try and avoid powdering over the top too heavily. It is a must buy for someone that hates feeling too 'made up' as it feels so lightweight and as if you are wearing no make up at all. It offers fabulous coverage and allows problem skin to breath. Hope this helps some of you who are sitting on the fence with this product xx 31/01/2015

I think as long as you exfoliate and moisturise your skin before applying make up it will look very natural and flattering on the skin.

Definitely not, in my opinion. I'm 64 and have dry skin, and find the BM foundation just wonderful. It might take a while to master the technique, buffing with a brush, but a store rep would be very pleased to demonstrate. If you haven't already done so, I'd say - go for it!

Absolutely, all our Foundations are suitable for all skin-types. If you are concerned about dry skin we would recommend moisturising and using our Prime Time Foundation Primer prior to applying our bareMinerals Foundation. This will help to smooth over any dry patches and give you perfect foundation application. Also our bareMinerals READY SPF 20 Foundation is great for those with dry skin as the formula is really hydrating. Hope this helps.

I love this foundation and got brought the starter kit for Christmas but as I am a student with a low income I wondered how long the foundation has been lasting people as I wouldn't be able to go out and just buy it again when it's gone, I'd have to put some money away?

I'm also a student so I can easily tell you it lasts quite a while! I got my starter kit almost two years ago now and its just running out. Depending on how often you use it, it should still last you a long time. I bought the larger 'original' foundation for myself (with my student loan!) and I can guarantee that it will last a while.

We can't give you a guaranteed answer unfortunately as it all depends on how much you use, but on average we would advise a standard pot of our bareMinerals Foundation would last about 3-4 months.

It is very difficult to shade match online. If your skin tone is more yellow when tanned then we would recommend trying the shade Light. However if your skin goes a pink more of a pink tone when tanned then we would recommend trying out Fairly Medium. You could always check out our online Foundation Shade Finder to help you decide: http://bit.ly/12Njp5g

Dear Sir/Madam,
I bought the Golden deep N50 (compact foundation). This colour was perfect for me. Unfortunately I accidently dropped it all on the floor. I went in store to get a replacement and was given a colour that was too yellow in tone for my complexion - R510. Can you please tell me what this colour is now called ? And whether I need to get the cool or golden range.

If possible, I think it would help a lot of your customers if a chart of the original compact foundation colours and their correlating replacements were posted online. Thanks.

Our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation in Golden Deep was renamed to shade R510. If you still find this too yellow for your complexion we would recommend trying out R530. It may be best to pop into one of counters for another shade match so you can be sure you’re getting the right shade for your skin tone. The shades for our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation never changed, only the names of them did. On our bareMinerals READY SPF 20 Information Page we do have a comparison guide to help you out between Original SPF15 Foundation shades & bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation shades: http://bit.ly/19tLxTQ

It is really difficult to shade match online. Our READY SPF20 Foundation tends to be slightly lighter than our Original SPF15 Foundation, so even though R210 may be little too light, Medium in our Original Foundation may be the right shade. If you can, try to pop into your local bareMinerals Counter to get shade matched by one of our Beauty Ambassadors. If this isn't an option we would recommend trying our Medium if you have a slight pinky tone to your skin, and Medium Beige if you have a neutral skintone.

Hi,
I usually use medium tan during the summer months but if that comes up too dark for you mix a little of your medium beige and medium tan together to give you a more customized colour which you can tweak to your skin tone :)

It is really difficult to shade match online, as your skin-tone may slightly change when you have a tan. Your Medium Beige has neutral undertones, and if you feel that with a tan you still have neutral undertones, we would recommend trying the shade Tan. You can always pop into your local bareMinerals Counter to get shade matched by one of our Beauty Ambassadors.

It has not been scientifically proven that SPF in make-up affects the quality of your skin in photos at all - from my experience it seems to be an urban myth. Moreover, the SPF of Bare Minerals make-up is fairly low and, if working in tandem with a blush or bronzer, should not be an issue in photography. The fine texture of Bare Minerals foundation and it's luminous finish should make it for perfect wedding-day make-up :) Hope this helps!

I reccomed Liquid foundation on your wedding day, in pictures of myself in the makeup my flaws and bags can sometimes be braught out by the camera. Bare minerals is great for every day use- but for your wedding try a natural foundation and blush Goodluck!

Our Original and Matte Foundations used with Mineral Veil will give you a naturally flawless look on your wedding day. The SPF in the foundations should not have any negative effect on your wedding photographs. If you were looking for a longer-wearing, fuller coverage you could always try our READY SPF20 Foundation which launches nationwide in March.
