  • BEliever Tip!

"I lightly mist my Flawless Application Face Brush with mineral water and then Swirl, Tap, Buff® as usual. My skin tends to the dry side and this method leaves a smooth, dewy look." — Michelle B.

Applying the Makeup is Easy

  • Swirl, Tap, Buff

  • 1. Swirl
a small amount of bareMinerals into the lid with the Flawless Application Brush (for lighter coverage) or the Full Coverage Kabuki Brush (for more coverage) until the bareMinerals are tucked into the bristles.

    2. Tap
off excess. bareMinerals should not be visible on the outside of the brush.

    3. Buff
bareMinerals onto the skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the outside of your face near your cheekbones. Then, buff around your face, working your way to the cheeks, forehead, and nose. Buff until you're satisfied with the coverage. Less is more when applying bareMinerals.

ORIGINAL SPF 15 Foundation - null 4.7 5 251 251
Ill never use another foundation ! I started using Bare minerals in the summer an am just running out now . Ive never been happier with how my skin looks .Its so easy to apply and quite quick . It lasts all day with the mineral veil too. 26/01/2015
Love this stuff! I love the way bareMinerals looks on my skin! It looks so natural, almost like I'm wearing nothing, but flawless! I was having some breakouts on my forehead and cheeks recently for the first time in my life. It seemed like no matter what foundation I used it only made the breakouts worse. I switched to bareMinerals and my skin has never looked better! Even when I was in high school and had no acne, etc., my skin never looked this flawless. This foundation is light and blends well. I can't feel it at all. The best part is, when I look in the mirror I don't see that foundation line near my jaw like I always did when using liquid makeup. I just love it! I will say though, when I started using this product a few months ago I used it along with Prime Time. I did not have good results. Even though the Prime Time made the bareMinerals go on smooth and creamy, the Prime Time caused me to have cystic acne and white heads, and my face looked terrible. I stopped using the PT and within a week my face was back to normal. No pimples or white heads. Just thought I'd mention that in case any other people are experiencing acne and using the Prime Time with the bareMinerals. If you're experiencing acne, don't give up on the foundation unless you try it without the Prime Time first! 14/01/2015
Mixed feelings. I'm all for trying new products that claim to be natural and good for your skin, so when I read constant good reviews about bareminerals foundation I wanted to try it. It's very quick and easy to apply, the coverage is easily buildable without looking cakey but on my skin it doesn't completely cover up blemishes and breakouts. One thing I love is that you don't have to use a lot at all, which is good considering the amount you get for £25. The brushes are extremely soft but quite a few bristles fell out whilst using. My mixed opinions come from the fact it doesn't look as flawless as my other current foundation but it is definitely worth a try if you're looking for a quick, easy and more natural foundation. 11/01/2015
Izzy18 I use fairly light (the colour is perfect for me with very light skin) and the full flawless application brush to apply which is just fab. It's great because you can build up as much coverage as needed and hardly use any powder . Also, you can mix in the warmth bronzer to create a darker shade if you're going out and wearing fake tan. I'd say I prefer a full coverage as I have teenage skin and it lasts AGES. The foundation feels great on the skin unlike others which can feel heavy and uncomfortable. I often apply the foundation early in the morning and it still looks the same by evening however, i think using the touch up veil helps this a lot! I use a primer under the foundation which creates an easier application and i find makes the foundation look better. I've been using this foundation for four years and I wouldn't use any other, can't reccomend enough ! 11/01/2015
New to makeup I finally decided to buy some makeup because I began to fell that my face was a bit plain and pale. My biggest concern was that it wouldn't look natural, but after applying the original foundation, I really feel in love with it. I'm very sensitive to smells, but this foundation has no smell at all. My face never feels heavy and I often forget that I'm wearing it. Overall a great product. I'm one happy customer. 09/01/2015
in love. I was a little worried that I would not use this. I got the original and matte. I love both. My pores have minimized! Also, my skin feels good and the marks have disappeared. Great product. 28/12/2014
What I've Been Searching For I have tried all of the drug store foundations. Nothing has worked for e. I have oily skin and acne prone with scarring. Even when the products said "gentle" or "non- oily" it was not true and has done my skin more harm than good. I recently tried both the original foundation as well as the matte and i love them both! they are light weight and stays on all throughout my work day. My skin is extremely sensitive to products and i can usually feel my skin swelling up from my foundation. With either of these foundations offered by BE my skin does not swell, my skin has been significantly less oily, and it gives a better coverage than any product I have ever used. It is simple to put on and gives a natural and bright finish. 22/12/2014
My new favorite foundation When I first tried this foundation, I was a little wary since it made my face tingle the first day. It, however, has been amazing ever since. I am able to build my coverage without feeling like I'm caking on make-up like other foundations. I have even noticed my skin has been less dry and has broken out less since I started using this. I still get the tingles every once in a while (like if I start to break a sweat), but it's nothing unbearable. Great product that I will continue to use. 21/12/2014
Get shade matched+use the right brush+watch the application instruction video=Amazing! I LOVE this foundation! I was skeptical for years and wish I had tried it before. It did take a little trouble-shooting to make sure I was applying properly and had the right brush. I thought that the Matte formula would be best for me because I have such oily skin and struggle with shine but after trying Matte and Ready, I came back to this and realized it was the perfect fit, I just needed the right shade. I don't have any problems with oiliness or shine with it. I need full-coverage so I use the full coverage kabuki brush and love the results. This foundation is wonderful! Take the time to make sure you have the right shade, brush, formula and learn to put it on properly and it will be worth the time invested! So happy, wish I had been using this all along! 09/12/2014
Used it for years This is one of the best makeups on the market, especially at this price point. I am an older woman with sun damage and wrinkles. While nothing makes these go away, this offers awesome coverage and does not settle into the wrinkles as long as i use a good moisturizer first. i firmly believe that it is good for my skin and i appreciate the built in natural (NO chemicals) sunscreen. Whenever a friend tries it at my urging, she feels the same way. You do have to learn to use it, but if you just follow the directions you'll be a pro in no time. Dip, swirl, tap and blend, blend blend! I love it 28/11/2014

Definitely not, in my opinion. I'm 64 and have dry skin, and find the BM foundation just wonderful. It might take a while to master the technique, buffing with a brush, but a store rep would be very pleased to demonstrate. If you haven't already done so, I'd say - go for it!

If you put too much of it on it can do this but if you put a fine layer on this won't happen it will give you an even complexion :)

Absolutely, all our Foundations are suitable for all skin-types. If you are concerned about dry skin we would recommend moisturising and using our Prime Time Foundation Primer prior to applying our bareMinerals Foundation. This will help to smooth over any dry patches and give you perfect foundation application. Also our bareMinerals READY SPF 20 Foundation is great for those with dry skin as the formula is really hydrating. Hope this helps.

I love this foundation and got brought the starter kit for Christmas but as I am a student with a low income I wondered how long the foundation has been lasting people as I wouldn't be able to go out and just buy it again when it's gone, I'd have to put some money away?

I'm also a student so I can easily tell you it lasts quite a while! I got my starter kit almost two years ago now and its just running out. Depending on how often you use it, it should still last you a long time. I bought the larger 'original' foundation for myself (with my student loan!) and I can guarantee that it will last a while.

We can't give you a guaranteed answer unfortunately as it all depends on how much you use, but on average we would advise a standard pot of our bareMinerals Foundation would last about 3-4 months.

It is very difficult to shade match online. If your skin tone is more yellow when tanned then we would recommend trying the shade Light. However if your skin goes a pink more of a pink tone when tanned then we would recommend trying out Fairly Medium. You could always check out our online Foundation Shade Finder to help you decide: http://bit.ly/12Njp5g

Dear Sir/Madam,
I bought the Golden deep N50 (compact foundation). This colour was perfect for me. Unfortunately I accidently dropped it all on the floor. I went in store to get a replacement and was given a colour that was too yellow in tone for my complexion - R510. Can you please tell me what this colour is now called ? And whether I need to get the cool or golden range.

If possible, I think it would help a lot of your customers if a chart of the original compact foundation colours and their correlating replacements were posted online. Thanks.

Our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation in Golden Deep was renamed to shade R510. If you still find this too yellow for your complexion we would recommend trying out R530. It may be best to pop into one of counters for another shade match so you can be sure you’re getting the right shade for your skin tone. The shades for our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation never changed, only the names of them did. On our bareMinerals READY SPF 20 Information Page we do have a comparison guide to help you out between Original SPF15 Foundation shades & bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation shades: http://bit.ly/19tLxTQ

It is really difficult to shade match online. Our READY SPF20 Foundation tends to be slightly lighter than our Original SPF15 Foundation, so even though R210 may be little too light, Medium in our Original Foundation may be the right shade. If you can, try to pop into your local bareMinerals Counter to get shade matched by one of our Beauty Ambassadors. If this isn't an option we would recommend trying our Medium if you have a slight pinky tone to your skin, and Medium Beige if you have a neutral skintone.

Hi,
I usually use medium tan during the summer months but if that comes up too dark for you mix a little of your medium beige and medium tan together to give you a more customized colour which you can tweak to your skin tone :)

It is really difficult to shade match online, as your skin-tone may slightly change when you have a tan. Your Medium Beige has neutral undertones, and if you feel that with a tan you still have neutral undertones, we would recommend trying the shade Tan. You can always pop into your local bareMinerals Counter to get shade matched by one of our Beauty Ambassadors.

It has not been scientifically proven that SPF in make-up affects the quality of your skin in photos at all - from my experience it seems to be an urban myth. Moreover, the SPF of Bare Minerals make-up is fairly low and, if working in tandem with a blush or bronzer, should not be an issue in photography. The fine texture of Bare Minerals foundation and it's luminous finish should make it for perfect wedding-day make-up :) Hope this helps!

I reccomed Liquid foundation on your wedding day, in pictures of myself in the makeup my flaws and bags can sometimes be braught out by the camera. Bare minerals is great for every day use- but for your wedding try a natural foundation and blush Goodluck!

Our Original and Matte Foundations used with Mineral Veil will give you a naturally flawless look on your wedding day. The SPF in the foundations should not have any negative effect on your wedding photographs. If you were looking for a longer-wearing, fuller coverage you could always try our READY SPF20 Foundation which launches nationwide in March.
