Q & A
Purely Nourishing Moisturizer: Combination Skin 4.7 5 9 9
Another winner from BareMinerals This moisturiser, along with the Purifying Facial Cleanser and Renew & Hydrate Eye Cream have become my new best friends. Over the years I have used many different moisturisers, hating some, loving others, but generally wishing the ones that I did even like could be tweaked slightly. It's all well and good finding a moisturiser that delivers the results you want if it doesn't sink in well, or is a bit too greasy, doesn't dry down well or makes your makeup slip off etc This moisturiser has basically ticked all the boxes I want. It delivers on its promises. It delivers immediate results. It isn't overly fragrant, just a nice natural subtle herbal scent. It sinks into the skin beautifully. It doesn't leave a greasy film on the skin. It works very well under makeup as a primer. I am beyond impressed with all of the BM skincare I have tried and think that I have found my lifelong regime. This moisturiser has balanced my skin from combinations/oily to more normal/combination, and has reduced old acne scarring, smoothed my skin and left it feeling more nourished and plumped than anything else I have tried over the years. Again, what can I say, BM just keep knocking it out of the park with their products. amazing! 03/03/2013
Brilliant light moisturiser I love this product. It sinks in easily and leaves my skin feeling lusciously moisturised and soft. It also really brightens up my skin and has reduced the number of and occurences blemishes I have. 15/02/2013
My Brand New Skincare Regime! I adore this moisturizer as it is so light, i find it just sinks into my skin instantly leaving it feeling nourised, soft & pampered! I love that this product is a pump applicater making it easy to use & a little goes a long way. I also love how this is packaged in a tube perfect for on the go, as easily fits in a make up bag & can easily be used during the day to top up if your skin is feeling dry. I also feel this helps my Bare Minerals make up stay in place as it gives a lovely base. This along with the purfying cleanser are definately a lovely skincare regime for any BM lover! Especially this one! 02/01/2013
Lavender scented. This is lovely. I use it after showering and before I use the primer to do my makeup. Lasts ages and makes my skin so soft. Easily absorbed. Recommended to every one 12/08/2012
Lovely! This is a fab moisturiser. It's very soothing and helps reduce redness in my skin. It's got a lovely earthy, lavender scent and sinks in within a minute, leaving skin ready for primer and foundation. It's helped remove the flakies on my chin and doesn't add extra shine to my t-zone, which is a real bonus. After a few uses my skin started to look smooth and even, very healthy. Love it! 24/06/2012
Must have moisturiser This soaks in easily and makes my skin feel and look gorgeous. I used to have quite spotty skin before I started using bare minerals skin care, now my skin looks beautiful! 21/06/2012
Excellent combination moisturiser This is lovely when used with the skin revver upper serum. It keeps my skin soft but doesn't let it shine and I have had no breakouts. My skin is glowing when used with the mineral make up as well. Love It 30/01/2012
Moisturising Magic. I have had a lot of difficulty trying to find a moisturiser that doesn't make my skin greasy, spotty or sore but finally I have found the one for me. I use it day and night to keep my skin feeling soft. This product feels so light on my skin and it absorbs quickly without leaving my skin feeling sticky or greasy it is just a lovely product to use and I plan to buy it again. 28/12/2011
Best moisturiser you will ever buy I was converted to BE last summer and use most of their make up. I have used all the premium brands of moisturiser in the past but I am going to stick with this from now on, it gives a lovely base for make up and my skin has been lovely since I started using it. 22/11/2011

I've just looked on the box, bottle and information leaflet they do not mention that it has a SPF factor so I do not think that this item has a SPF factor as bare minerals usually put it on the packaging. The foundation does have a SPF factor. Home this helps

No, this moisturiser doesn't have an SPF, but our Advanced Protection SPF20 Moisturizer does. It also has the option of Clear or Sheer Tint, you can find it here: http://bit.ly/12qFbMz

Hi - moisturisers I have used by other beauty companies have required heating between fingertips. Just bought the combi moisturiser today and was wondering about application.

No, just rub it in gently in small circular motions. It sinks in very easily.

There's no need to heat our moisturiser up, just pump onto your hands and massage into your face. Apply to freshly cleansed skin morning and night.

Has anybody tried both of these moisturisers? Which do you prefer? I am not sure which is the best to go for - I'm 33 and the most important thing for me is that I can use it under my BM primer and makeup. Is one better for this than the other? Thank you x

I have only used the purely nourishing, the lady i visited at a Bare Minerals counter first cleansed my face then used the purely nourishing moisturiser after that she applied primer & BM make up. My skin felt so lovely that i now use the entire BM skin care range & i have noticed a big difference

A rash has also developed on my neck. Is my skin just adapting to the product or am I having a reaction to it?

I would have said you may be allergic to one or more of the ingredients. Getting a rash and your skin going red is never a good thing

I've got sensitive skin and haven't had any problems. If your skin is itchy and a rash has developed I would say your skin is reacting to an ingredient.
It might be worth trying to find out if it's this or the cleanser - try using the cleanser with a moisturiser that you know is ok for your skin, and vice versa.
If the cleanser has any exfoliant properties it might be too much for your skin using it twice a day.
