bareMinerals READY Bronzer - null
Kissed by the sun
I have light skin and was worried that a bronzer would be too much. I was tired of the same make up look. I was shown this product at my local boutique and bought it right away. I've had it for a little over a year now and still haven't make a dent in this product. Lasts forever and looks natural. I recommend it!
I use the warmth all over face color and was not sure how I would like this. I have never used a bronzer to do any contouring before and with my fair skin wasn't sure I was going to like the look but I love it! I have been using In the Deep end and it is lovely. It puts some definition into my face instead of the same old boring look!
I have this in two colours one for winter when I am very pale and one for summer for when I have a bit of colour. A little goes along way and the colours are lovely and natural, also great for defining.
My first Skinny Dip... ;)
I LOVE the Skinny Dip color. I have fair skin (I wear the Fairly Light foundation) and wanted a READY bronzer to have for on-the-go. After my consultant at my local BE boutique put this one on me, I have replaced Warmth in my make up routine...I just love this color too much. When used with a light stroke, it provides the perfect shade for contouring and shaping my face.
I first got my READY Bronzer (in Skinny Dip) to help even out my complexion in the summer months. It was really great for adding just a bit of color without being overbearing (I have some trouble with the Warmth loose powders). Now that it is winter, I love using this bronzer as a face contour (which means it helps define the look of cheeks, making them look thinner). It is subtle yet pronounced, and does not have that "orangey" look that the Warmth can sometimes give.
Skinny Dip is the lightest and works really great for those who are lighter-skinned, because it is very subtle. The High Dive is the medium bronzer, but it is still subtle. This works well with medium-skinned gals. (I have not tried The Deep End).
Tip: For contouring my cheeks, I first grab a bit of product on the brush of choice (I use a smaller, more defining brush - or you can use a contour brush). Make a "fish face" (sucking in your cheeks), and put the product in a line right under the cheekbone (where it is sucked in), all the way up to the hairline. Blend it it (so it is diffused from looking like a line). Follow with blush right above the contoured "line."
Best of the bronzers.
For me, this Ready Bronzer ( I'm using High Dive) is the best of the bronzers offer by BE. I went to store and compared all of them together with this one: faux tan, warmth & a little sun. This one is the least glittery and most matte and no red tones like warmth has. It gives me a great, natural looking tan. I have light olive skin and use "light" foundation. I get tan in the summer and so far it has been helping me to extend my tan look into the winter without looking fake - so far, so good. It seems to go on heavier than the others too = a little goes a long way, and so I have to be careful not to over apply it. The brush needs to be tapped off for sure. And High Dive is pretty deep so I can see myself possibly switching to something lighter once my tan completely fades. I also use it as an eye shadow. My only complaint is the black matte case picks up a lot of make up dust and gets pretty dirty.
I love this bronzer, totally natural and does not make me look like I am wearing bronzer, more like I've had a long weekend somewhere fantastic!
Nice, easy to use. Just quite dark. Would like lighter shades. A little goes a really long way - less is definitely more.
The High Dive--oh yeah!
Just switched from Faux Tan radiance (super gorgeous also) to the High Dive. LOVE it! Subtle shimmer, great pigment, nice coverage.
I wear Ready Medium Tan and the SA suggested the Skinny Dip bronzer. I was going to purchase High Dive but I let her try them both on, she was right the Skinny Dip gave a more natural look I was going for. I am very happy with my purchase.
