bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation - null 4.1 5 337 337
Effortless Beauty I used to suffer from mild acne and was using the 'BE Original Foundation' and although it was a blessing that I managed to stumble upon it, it was very time consuming trying to cover all my imperfections. When I heard BE had come out with a new compact foundation I immediately had a look online, though there were not as many positive reviews as I thought. My biggest concern was: is this foundation going to be as light and breathable as the Original Foundation? Well I went to a local store and tried it on and WOW! 2 effortless minutes to flawless skin! And just for the record it was just as light and breathable as the Original Foundation AND takes less then half the time to apply! A truly AMAZING product! 12/06/2013
Nice coverage. Poor design! I really liked the coverage and found it more convenient than the original. Sadly, I dropped my bag (only on my worktop) but it was enough for it to completely crack up the compact! It made a mess of my bag and was such a mess to use after that, that I had to bin it! How such a fragile product could be designed to be carried around is a puzzle. Such a waste. 20/01/2015
Great, but keeps me oily I love this when I put it on. It feels like silk, but 2 hours into my day I'm checking my face for oil. I do love this product but unfortunately keeps me very oily. If you have oily skin this isn't the product for you. If not, it'll be your best friend! 10/01/2015
R150 Ready SPF20 I was introduced to this foundation after my mum had started using it and I had become increasingly annoyed with the cakiness of liquid foundations and the little coverage of powders. I have bad blemishes over my cheeks and forehead and this covered it up completely. Also, the minerals in the foundation have reduced my blemishes and don't clog my pores as much as the liquids. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants flawless looking skin! 05/01/2015
AMAZING I have been using the original bare minerals powder for about 10 years and it worked great ! But as time went by, I started to age of course lol. I needed more coverage and something faster than the swirl, tap and buff. I have found it Ladies ! After reading reviews for a long time, I finally decided to try this foundation. Ignore the negative reviews because I honestly can't see why it's not working for them. It goes on flawlessly without leaving horrible lines or non covered blotches on face. It may seem expensive but its really not because it last a very long time. I like full coverage and it still doesn't take much to get the coverage I want. It takes years off your appearance. I do use a primer under my foundation and I wear it for over 12 hours and its still as good as when I put it on. I had wore it to bed one night just to see how it would hold up because the original one would be rubbed off by the morning, however, the ready foundation was still put and looked great ! This is a pure miracle for us women. My husband even loves how natural it looks. Please try this foundation ladies because it will change your view of makeup. I love it so much that I want to buy another one right now and I'm not even close to being out . What a great product Bare Minerals ! Please don't ever discontinue this product. I'm in love... 02/01/2015
So Glad I Found My Holy Grail I went shopping with my daughter at an outlet mall with plans to go to a regular mall and hit the BE boutique. I looked up and there was a Bareescentuals! Years ago I had tried the regular powder but was never able to get the right match. With the addition of three different foundations and/or colors I thought I'd give it another try. I've used liquid foundations for years, but at 59 my makeup needs have changed. I wanted buildable coverage that was quick and easy so thought I'd try the new serum foundation. The rep had me try the Ready and I was hooked. Color was perfect, coverage was perfect and the Precision brush was perfect. When I got home I played some more - one side of my face light coverage, the other side medium. Easy to do and even the medium gave me a natural even glow. I then went on to full coverage and while you could tell I had makeup on it was an even finish that did not look overdone. My super dry skin did not look cakey and had a lovely satiny-matte finish before I even put on blush or highlighter. Love this product. I'm back to BE! 27/12/2014
Great long lasting coverage . I am 21 and have been wearing Bare minerals for 5 years now. Anytime something new is out I am always excited to try it. This foundation is the best at long lasting full coverage. BUT!! It tends to make my smile lines stand out even with the primer. I have also tried the Porefessional under this makeup (for my smile lines) and it still seems to make them stand out. Other than that this makeup is great!! 10/12/2014
Great Product! I have been a loyal BM shopper since it started on QVC only. I liked the loose foundation but being a natural accident prone/mess making person it was always getting spilled and wasted. I was so excited when this first came out and have been using ever since. Using the brush made for it is important. If you use the old loose foundation brush with the solid foundation it goes on very thick and cakey. I have greasy skin/acne prone and this product does not aggravate it at all. I have also tried the new liquid foundation and have come back to the solid. 07/12/2014
Not worth your money..... I recently visited my dermatologist, who subjected me to a twenty minute rant about how basically all drugstore and most high-end makeup is terrible for the skin. He then gave me a "list" of products I could use ( the only things on the list were Bare MInerals and Almay). Therefore, I immediately went to my local makeup store to purchase a Bare Minerals foundation. First of all, no bare mineral foundation actually serves more than one function (i.e. one mattified, but had no coverage, while another had coverage but was terrible for oily skin). I finally decided on this foundation, because, as a worker told me,"well, it doesn't add any extra oil to the skin, and it has medium coverage". When I put it on, it was cakey, powdery, and completely unnatural looking. It settled into my pores, even though I had used Bare Mineral's oil and pore eliminating primer (another failure), leaving me with a polka-dotted yellowish face. Unfortunately, this is one of my only options for foundation, so I have to get used to it :( 27/11/2014
Excellent product - fantastic buy! One line to sum this product up; amazing. This is a must buy! I was dubious to switch to a mineral foundation as I suffer with adult acne and am very conscious of the fact. After months of persuasion my friend finally got me along to a Bare Minerals counter and the beautician was amazing... she understood my woes and suggested her recommendations for me to try. She tried and tested the product on me with the intention of trying another if this wasn't a suitable match and I was seriously impressed. I walked out with a bag of goodies (that didn't cost a fortune!), and a huge smile on my face. Product: Powdery on brush, but blends in and creamy once applied. Light and natural looking, even with heavy coverage in places. Quick & easy to apply, takes half the time of other foundations. Easy to build coverage in specific areas. Great to then apply a bronzer or blush and highlighter over the top for a finished look. Best used with: Prime Time BB Primer, Handy Buki Brush & Max Coverage Concealer Brush Packaging: My only con is the packaging of the product. Sitting in a make up bag, products can sometimes break up and an eyeshadow spilt on my foundation... not very easy to clean off so it looks a bit gross now ... I like my make up to look good in the packet as well as on my face! Wipe-clean packaging rather than matte packaging would be awesome. 19/11/2014

I found I had this problem on my forehead. I think for me it was because I was using a full brush of foundation straight on to my forehead. I found it better if I loaded the brush and started first of all on my cheeks and then go to other areas like forehead, chin and nose once you've already worked some of the product off of the brush.

I'm 47 & can assure you that it doesn't settle in any fine lines. I do have a tip to minimise any 'pore settling' which can happen around the nose area; leave that area until last & only use the brush when you've buffed everywhere else on your face & it's 'empty'. That way you won't over-apply. Also use a primer but don't apply any foundation until it's completely absorbed. Hope that helps!

Hi Kentlady, yes I have the same skin-type and it works well for me. It gives smooth even coverage and keeps the skin looking shine -free. It minimises the look of the pores and does not crack.

Our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation is great for all skin types and sounds like it would be great for your skin. The foundation is really hydrating for those dry areas, but because it is made with minerals it will help balance out any oily areas and won't block your pores.
If you are having trouble with how your foundation is sitting you may want to try it with our Prime Time Foundation Primer, which will prep your skin perfectly for a flawless foundation application.

I'm sure they still do this colour. If you have the tub maybe take it down to BM and see what they say? If it has been discontinued they I'm sure they will be able to match a similar colour to you. Hope that helps.

It is very difficult to tell what shade you will be in bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation without a shade match as the shades are so different from our loose foundation formulas. Our comparison guide (http://bit.ly/bMcomparison) indicated you could be either R450, R470 or R530. We do suggest that you pop into your local bareMinerals counter to get properly shade matched to ensure you get the right shade.
