bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation - null 4.1 5 364 364
Effortless Beauty I used to suffer from mild acne and was using the 'BE Original Foundation' and although it was a blessing that I managed to stumble upon it, it was very time consuming trying to cover all my imperfections. When I heard BE had come out with a new compact foundation I immediately had a look online, though there were not as many positive reviews as I thought. My biggest concern was: is this foundation going to be as light and breathable as the Original Foundation? Well I went to a local store and tried it on and WOW! 2 effortless minutes to flawless skin! And just for the record it was just as light and breathable as the Original Foundation AND takes less then half the time to apply! A truly AMAZING product! 12/06/2013
AMAZING!! I just happend to walk by the bare minerals section at the mall and tried it instantly fell in love!! I've been trying it out for about 4 weeks now. Amazing coverage, light on the face, it's wonderful for oily skin it lasts me all day. So far it's the best foundation I have used!! 08/08/2015
UGH I really wanted to try a pressed powder foundation and this just wasn't it. I like the matte loose powder 1000x better. this just made me appear like a really weird shade. I got the deepest dark I believe though i was a golden dark in the matte. sigh 25/07/2015
Love it! I really love this foundation. It gives me just the right amount of coverage without being too heavy. I previously used MAC's studio fix and found myself liking Ready more. It doesn't feel cakey the way MAC's did. I've read other reviews of this product, and it's strange how everyone's skin reacts differently to certain products. I have a very oily t-zone and didn't find this to be too heavy nor prone to breakouts. If anything, I've been seeing less since my products transition. My recommendation is just to try it and see if it's for you. If not, you can either exchange or return it, ya know? 20/07/2015
Beautiful I used this foundation 2 years ago and did not like it at all I then decided to give it another ago I'm so glad I did! When i used it before I was doing it all wrong! I now have the technique right and it looks beautiful I use the foundation primer and I also bought the brush to go with it the trick is to use a lot less than you think you'll need just a tap into the foundation and wipe onto the face don't buff! One tap will do half your face so it is very economical 18/07/2015
Would not buy again I normally use the original powder foundation and was convinced in store to try this new product. To begin with it was not bad, a bit messy when putting on as lots of powder fell out of the edges of the compact and the coverage wasn't bad. However I have found 2 major issues: - At the end of the day the powder has moved and settled in creases and wrinkles drawing more attention to these flaws - Half way through using the compact the remaining powder has broken up into a crumbled mess which makes this so messy that I'm going to have to throw away and find a new powder to use. I would NOT buy this again 17/07/2015
Eh, not the best I had really high hopes for this product and I really wanted to like it. I got it as a less messy alternative to the original foundation. Additionally, my skin was feeling really dry so the hydrating benefits were also appealing. Unfortunately, this foundation was really disappointing. It settles into the fine lines of my face and I get really oily in my T-zone using it. When my T-zone gets oily this foundation instantly breaks down and looks horrible. I get maybe an hour or 2 of good wear out of it. Mind you, I have combination-oily skin in the summer, I am far from an oil slick, and this product made me look like a grease ball. 11/07/2015
Disappointed I have been using Bare Minerals for over 14 years now and have always loved it. When they first came out with the Ready Foundation I bought it and was very happy with the product. However, when I ran out and went to buy a new Ready Foundation the product had been changed. I tried two different compacts and had the same result: could not load the brush...are you kidding me? Why would you change a good product and produce something so inferior? In order to use makeup you actually have to be able to get it on your face. I'm so disappointed in the Ready Foundation. 09/07/2015
light medium ready foundation I love this product because it has great coverage as well as it is easy to use and lasts long. However, I have been using it for 2 months now and I began to notice that it's making my skin oily. I may have to switch to the loose powder. 15/06/2015
Just Okay It's not a terrible foundation. Very easy to use once you know the proper technique. But it's not something that I would repurchase. In fact I returned it to the BM Boutique b/c I didn't like the way it felt. It felt like I had a mask on my face. It felt like my skin couldn't breathe. What I like about BE is that it doesn't feel like I'm wearing makeup. This felt like I was wearing makeup. I did use the proper technique, which I learned from the online video posted on BE.com. I also feel like the coverage isn't that great. I need a foundation that will do some of the leg work for covering problematic spots. It's good for non problematic skin (like my cheeks, jaw, and nose which is clear of any acne or spots), but for the places that aren't nice and clear (like my chin & forehead where I have dark hyper-pigmentation spots from acne scarring) it doesn't do a thing. I purchased the Warm Dark (R470) if that helps give anyone a clue towards my coloring (I would say I'm around Kerry Washington or Taraji P Henson's complexion with a warm undertone). I end up going between the Tan & Dark color range depending on the foundation (in Bareskin I use Bare Almond 16, in Matte & Original I use Golden Tan). I switched it out for the Bareskin Foundation in Bare Almond 16 & the Blemish Remedy Foundation in Clearly Amber 10 (this one is exclusive to Sephora). The two of these together really nicely for me. Hopefully this helped someone. 10/06/2015

Make sure you let your moisturiser sink in properly first and your primer the same and use the foundation sparingly apply in wiping motions instead of buffing one tap should do half your face

I found I had this problem on my forehead. I think for me it was because I was using a full brush of foundation straight on to my forehead. I found it better if I loaded the brush and started first of all on my cheeks and then go to other areas like forehead, chin and nose once you've already worked some of the product off of the brush.

All I can say is get shade matched because you are normally a couple of shades darker in the ready formulation I'm fairly light in the original and r170 in the ready

How about fine lines under eyes?

I'm 47 & can assure you that it doesn't settle in any fine lines. I do have a tip to minimise any 'pore settling' which can happen around the nose area; leave that area until last & only use the brush when you've buffed everywhere else on your face & it's 'empty'. That way you won't over-apply. Also use a primer but don't apply any foundation until it's completely absorbed. Hope that helps!

Hi Kentlady, yes I have the same skin-type and it works well for me. It gives smooth even coverage and keeps the skin looking shine -free. It minimises the look of the pores and does not crack.

Our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation is great for all skin types and sounds like it would be great for your skin. The foundation is really hydrating for those dry areas, but because it is made with minerals it will help balance out any oily areas and won't block your pores.
If you are having trouble with how your foundation is sitting you may want to try it with our Prime Time Foundation Primer, which will prep your skin perfectly for a flawless foundation application.

I'm sure they still do this colour. If you have the tub maybe take it down to BM and see what they say? If it has been discontinued they I'm sure they will be able to match a similar colour to you. Hope that helps.

The shade names for our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation have changed since our initial launch. If you bought the shade Medium Beige, this would now be shade R250.

It is very difficult to tell what shade you will be in bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation without a shade match as the shades are so different from our loose foundation formulas. Our comparison guide (http://bit.ly/bMcomparison) indicated you could be either R450, R470 or R530. We do suggest that you pop into your local bareMinerals counter to get properly shade matched to ensure you get the right shade.
