bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation - null 4.1 5 385 385
Effortless Beauty I used to suffer from mild acne and was using the 'BE Original Foundation' and although it was a blessing that I managed to stumble upon it, it was very time consuming trying to cover all my imperfections. When I heard BE had come out with a new compact foundation I immediately had a look online, though there were not as many positive reviews as I thought. My biggest concern was: is this foundation going to be as light and breathable as the Original Foundation? Well I went to a local store and tried it on and WOW! 2 effortless minutes to flawless skin! And just for the record it was just as light and breathable as the Original Foundation AND takes less then half the time to apply! A truly AMAZING product! 12/06/2013
Bare Minerals, I can't quit you! I used Bare Minerals Original Foundation for a year and when I ran out I went back to my "old faithful" (Clinique). I immediately started breaking out and my skin looked so shiny/oily by lunch time. I ordered the BM Ready Foundation with the Precision brush and the Ready Translucent powder with the Soft Focus brush. My skin literally started looking better after the first day I wore it! I will never switch away from Bare Minerals again! Lesson learned! I prefer the Ready foundation over the Original for the convenience of having a compact and I MUCH rather prefer the Precision brush over the Flawless brush I had with the Original. I wore Medium Beige in the Original and still wear it with Ready. I highly recommend this product, you won't regret it. My skin has never looked better! 26/01/2016
The reason I returned to Bare Minerals This is my absolutely most favorite product of Bare Minerals. The coverage is excellent. It's light. I can where it all day. I can sweat in it. I get compliments all the time. I don't break out from using it. In fact I had to discontinue using most foundations because they didn't where well over time and would make me break out. Please, please, please do not discontinue this product. I love it so, so, so much. 23/01/2016
Great choice I have used this for a few years. I love the coverage for slight imperfections and it lasts a long time. 12/01/2016
not the best While I do love bareminerals in general, this foundation didn't work for me. I have very oily & dry skin. After a few hours, the foundation leaves a white-ish residue around my mouth and cheeks. It almost looks like I have really dry skin when it's just the foundation. Also, it settles into the lines on my forehead. 04/01/2016
Best mineral foundation pressed form... I have used this since it was first sold.. I kept hoping that BM would make the minerals in a pressed form... Love love love it... IT does everything it claims, long lasting full coverage, good for you, creamy feeling, and pore covering. I did have to go a shade darker than what I wear in the loose minerals. Find your shade and you will love it too !! Thx.. 23/12/2015
Not The Best. It doesn't work very well with dehydrated or dry skin. It also doesn't work very well with my moisturizer. After applying, I had the "cakey" problem. I prefer the bareskin and original foundation. 17/12/2015
Love this foundation I have been using this foundation for just over a month now! I have tried so many different foundations and this has been by far the best! I suffer with very bad acne and this covers so well! I didn't think I would find anything better than mac studio fix but this defiantly has better coverage and takes half the time to apply! I did find that if you use this alone it does tend to slide off throughout the day so I have now started using the benefit porefessional primer and they work really well together! I will defiantly be sticking with this foundation! 17/12/2015
Wonderful I discovered this powder almost a year ago when I went to Sephora with the intention of buying a fundation from their own line. My skin is kind of pale and it was specially difficult for me to get a good light fundation that could match perfectly to my skinshade but, when the girl from the store told me about this foundation, I saw the result in my skin and I fell in love inmediately! It feels like if you were not wearing nothing at all, the result is amazing, very natural and it's perfect for everyday use... but it's important to find the color that matches your skin and this is another thing I really liked from this brand: they have a great variety of shades for their products so you only have to ask the proffesional of the store to find the right one for you. 29/11/2015
If you are looking for weightless, and flawless finish - here's your product! I love this product! I tried to use bare essentials in the early 2000's, and I bought multiple shades and tried to mix them numerous times to get the right shade and coverage and never found it. I was disappointed. I tried this and never looked back! I was in a Sephora and couldn't believe the number of shades! I had one of their consultants take one look at my skin, pulled the shade and it matched! I bought the precision brush too. I just couldn't be happier and it's so NOT time consuming! (I'm flashing back to liquid foundation and heavy powders! The time it took to apply it just right and match the colors, blah, blah, blah! LOL) This is easy peasy and beautiful ! 20/11/2015

Make sure you let your moisturiser sink in properly first and your primer the same and use the foundation sparingly apply in wiping motions instead of buffing one tap should do half your face

I found I had this problem on my forehead. I think for me it was because I was using a full brush of foundation straight on to my forehead. I found it better if I loaded the brush and started first of all on my cheeks and then go to other areas like forehead, chin and nose once you've already worked some of the product off of the brush.

All I can say is get shade matched because you are normally a couple of shades darker in the ready formulation I'm fairly light in the original and r170 in the ready

How about fine lines under eyes?

I'm 47 & can assure you that it doesn't settle in any fine lines. I do have a tip to minimise any 'pore settling' which can happen around the nose area; leave that area until last & only use the brush when you've buffed everywhere else on your face & it's 'empty'. That way you won't over-apply. Also use a primer but don't apply any foundation until it's completely absorbed. Hope that helps!

Hi Kentlady, yes I have the same skin-type and it works well for me. It gives smooth even coverage and keeps the skin looking shine -free. It minimises the look of the pores and does not crack.

Our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation is great for all skin types and sounds like it would be great for your skin. The foundation is really hydrating for those dry areas, but because it is made with minerals it will help balance out any oily areas and won't block your pores.
If you are having trouble with how your foundation is sitting you may want to try it with our Prime Time Foundation Primer, which will prep your skin perfectly for a flawless foundation application.

I'm sure they still do this colour. If you have the tub maybe take it down to BM and see what they say? If it has been discontinued they I'm sure they will be able to match a similar colour to you. Hope that helps.

The shade names for our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation have changed since our initial launch. If you bought the shade Medium Beige, this would now be shade R250.

It is very difficult to tell what shade you will be in bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation without a shade match as the shades are so different from our loose foundation formulas. Our comparison guide (http://bit.ly/bMcomparison) indicated you could be either R450, R470 or R530. We do suggest that you pop into your local bareMinerals counter to get properly shade matched to ensure you get the right shade.
