Q & A
bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation - null 4 5 298 298
Effortless Beauty I used to suffer from mild acne and was using the 'BE Original Foundation' and although it was a blessing that I managed to stumble upon it, it was very time consuming trying to cover all my imperfections. When I heard BE had come out with a new compact foundation I immediately had a look online, though there were not as many positive reviews as I thought. My biggest concern was: is this foundation going to be as light and breathable as the Original Foundation? Well I went to a local store and tried it on and WOW! 2 effortless minutes to flawless skin! And just for the record it was just as light and breathable as the Original Foundation AND takes less then half the time to apply! A truly AMAZING product! 12/06/2013
Love it Everybody at work commented on how good my skin looked wearing this. It is super quick and easy to apply. I find it stays good all day and can't live without it. 03/04/2014
Perfect! I've recently bought this foundation and it's the best foundation I've ever had! It's very good coverage because I have a few spots and it's so quick and easy to apply. I would recommend this product to anyone. I will always buy this! 01/04/2014
Not as good at the Matte Foundation I tried this out because I love the Bare Minerals Foundation. I did not like this as well as the Bare Minerals Matte Foundation. The Bare Minerals Matte Foundation looks much better on my skin. I did use some of the foundation but, I went back to the Matte Foundation. 26/03/2014
Worst Foundation I've ever tried. I'm a woman of color, (NW45 in mac) and Warm dark in the original formula, and this is by far the worst foundation I've ever tried. Extremely cakey and dry looking. I tried 3 different shades, and could not find a color to match me, meanwhile I match several shades in the loose powder formula. Huge disappointment. 24/03/2014
Itchy I really wanted to like this foundation. I got a perfect color match using fairy light, and it looked amazing when I first applied it. You have to be very careful with this foundation to not over apply, or it will look really cakey as the day goes on. Even with applying a light layer using the flawless application brush, by the end of the day the texture didn't look as good in a few places on my face. The main reason for the rating I gave is that shortly after putting it on my face is so itchy. I have never had that problem with foundations before. 18/03/2014
More choices Love this product...but BM...needs to add more shades for people of color...I think BM should copy every shade for people of color from the MAC make up line 05/03/2014
I think I found my foundation soul mate.... I am a long time bareMinerals user and although I love the product, I was never able to get an exact skin tone match (I was always between Light and Fairly Light) but I love the product so much I would opt for "ghost face" and add warmth. With this foundation, I am not sure if the shades are slightly different, but I have finally found my color match. On top of that, the foundation feels so soft and smooth on my skin, more so than the powder foundations. Also-unlike the powder foundations-I've made virtually no mess during my morning routine and I feel like a very tiny amount goes a very long way. This READY foundation has completely transformed my morning routine and it looks so RADIANT on my skin. Another one hit out of the park, bareMinerals! Thank you! 03/03/2014
i love ready! i have always loved bare minerals and always used the loose foundation, so when this one came out i was a bit hesitant to try it, probably for no reason other than that i was just too stuck in my ways to try anything new. But i bought this the other day after my original ran out and i am so glad i did! i bought the precision brush to go with it and what a difference it makes!! so much easier and quicker to apply and looks so much more flawless and even! i will never go back to the original now - ready all the way! 02/03/2014
Foundation+Acne Treatment I was using Mary Kay "mineral foundation" and the first ingredient is Talc-something they say if really not good for you skin. Over time i developed mild acne on my cheeks. After sleeping in Bare Escentuals foundation for 1 night I could already tell a difference in my cheeks. The following night I used the night serum sample I was sent and the next morning even better results. My mary kay went into the trash and I will forever be greatful for bare escentuals! The minerals in the foundation did the trick for me. 24/02/2014

How about fine lines under eyes?

I'm 47 & can assure you that it doesn't settle in any fine lines. I do have a tip to minimise any 'pore settling' which can happen around the nose area; leave that area until last & only use the brush when you've buffed everywhere else on your face & it's 'empty'. That way you won't over-apply. Also use a primer but don't apply any foundation until it's completely absorbed. Hope that helps!

Hi Kentlady, yes I have the same skin-type and it works well for me. It gives smooth even coverage and keeps the skin looking shine -free. It minimises the look of the pores and does not crack.

Our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation is great for all skin types and sounds like it would be great for your skin. The foundation is really hydrating for those dry areas, but because it is made with minerals it will help balance out any oily areas and won't block your pores.
If you are having trouble with how your foundation is sitting you may want to try it with our Prime Time Foundation Primer, which will prep your skin perfectly for a flawless foundation application.

I'm sure they still do this colour. If you have the tub maybe take it down to BM and see what they say? If it has been discontinued they I'm sure they will be able to match a similar colour to you. Hope that helps.

The shade names for our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation have changed since our initial launch. If you bought the shade Medium Beige, this would now be shade R250.

It is very difficult to tell what shade you will be in bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation without a shade match as the shades are so different from our loose foundation formulas. Our comparison guide (http://bit.ly/bMcomparison) indicated you could be either R450, R470 or R530. We do suggest that you pop into your local bareMinerals counter to get properly shade matched to ensure you get the right shade.

Please can you confirm if your READY foundations is as pure and gentle on your skin as your original founation? I have sensitive skin very prone to spots, and your original foundation seems to be the only one I have tried that doesn't give me breakouts.
I would love to try your new READY range but am hesitant to spend the money in case it clogs my already sensitive skin.
I look forward to your advice.
Thank you

Hi,
I too have sensitive skin as I suffer from Rosacea. After using the Original Foundation and enjoying my skin's vast improvement, I was excited about the Ready but, unfortunately, my skin didn't like it at all. Within a week or so, my Rosacea flared up really badly, forcing me to go back to the tried, tested and ever-true original. Of course, everyone's skin is different and I would recommend going to a bareMinerals counter to see if you can get colour-matched and possibly get a sample to take home and try for a couple of days.
Hope this helps :)

Our bareMinerals READY SPF20 Foundation is a completely new formula to our loose foundation, but it is just as natural and is still formulated without parabens, fillers or harsh chemicals. It’s suitable for all skin types, including sensitive. If you want to try it out but don’t want to buy it just yet, you could pop into your local bareMinerals retailer to try it on.
