Q & A

bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF20 - null 4 5 795 798
Worst foundation ever This is my least favourite (and one of the most expensive) foundations I have ever bought! I have dry skin and was told this product would work for me, after having it on for a few hours my skin looks like scales no matter how much I have moisturised/ primed my skin. The texture is like water and makes my skin look greasy. It transfers very easily and everything I touch with it on is now covered in it. The bottle is awful too and has leaked everywhere. Would never purchase again! 29/04/2016
Great Foundation... Bad packaging Bare Minerals, please please please redesign the packaging of this foundation. As cabin crew, foundation is great, skin doesn't dry out and I look awake all day. However, packaging is bad when using as leaks and there is a lot of wastage. Even worse when flying as it can't cope with the cabin pressure and leaks everywhere. Please change packaging, will attract many more cabin crew. 25/04/2016
softer bottle, please Love this product, but with arthritic fingers it is way too difficult to get out of its' bottle. When the bottle or container allows easier dispensing, i would like to buy again. Dispensing is either not at all or a splatters that go everywhere. 24/04/2016
Don't waste your money! Very disappointed - stays on for an hour and excessively dries my skin - not worth the price I paid for it. 22/04/2016
Save yourself the effort And don't bother buying this! Absolutely useless product if you don't have oily skin. My skin is naturally dry so I have been moisturising like a madwoman and my skin has got to a really nice balance... This foundation makes me look scaly! When I touch the places that look scaly the skin doesn't feel dry. It just looks really bad. Picture the residue hard water leaves behind on a shower screen. It looks like that. Total waste of money - I've had better for a tenner from boots! 18/04/2016
Pleasantly surprised! I've been using the original powder foundation for years and decided to try this bareSkin Serum foundation. I was a little skeptical that the 1-2 drops would do the job...but boy...was I wrong. In fact, for daily wear, I only need 1 drop per side and the coverage is AMAZING. It's amazingly smooth and applies effortlessly. So far, I am loving it and so glad I decided to try it. I am not having any issues with getting the drops out of the bottle. You just have to be do a slight squeeze in the middle of the container. Since I only need 2 drops for my entire face this bottle will last me a long time, $ well spent. 15/04/2016
Don't like the bottle I purchased the serum foundation and the brush, which I thought was quite expensive. I like the serum foundation, but not the bottle. 13/04/2016
Good Foundation Great overall coverage, and it didn't break out my sensitive skin, i would buy again. 12/04/2016
No coverage, doesn't last, looks weird I bought this as I suffer with Rosacea and I have very very red and bumpy skin, and was told I should only wear mineral makeup. I previously used the powdered version and didn't like how dry it looked on so the liquid was recommended to me instead. I bought the primer, foundation, powder, bronzer, blush and application brush. The foundation just does not seem to set at all with or without the primer, it seems to sit on loosely on top of my skin, and if I touch it all it wipes off/moves, even after applying the setting powder. In order to cover the redness in my skin I was trying to layer the foundation, however it just keeps moving around my face rather than building up. When the powder goes on its like each of my pores is a white dot sitting on top of the primer. It just doesn't work at all, I wont be buying this product again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. The bronzer & blush are both lovely and I am using those with a different foundation. Its a shame cause it could have been a brilliant product especially for those of us with older problematic skin. 11/04/2016
Horrible Packaging Ruins Amazing Product I love this foundation! A small bit goes a long way, and the coverage is unbeatable. The texture and finish are flawless. Unfortunately, it comes in the most poorly designed bottle I have ever experienced. Like other reviewers, I also have the "too little or too much" issue. It either does not come out, or half the bottle splurts out. However, my biggest complaint is that the bottle is completely unusable for anyone suffering from RA, arthritis, or any other hand or joint issues. I would gladly give this wonderful product 10 hearts if it weren't for the bottle. Please improve the packaging! 09/04/2016

I have sampled the bareskin foundation and I love it. I would like to use a daily moisturiser under my foundation but I do not want to overload my skin. Do you think I should use moisturiser under this product?

Hi Sue
Personally I think fingertips are best, it goes on smoothly and you get less waste than if you used the brush, also I get better coverage, it's just like applying moisturiser you can get into all the "difficult" bits! Hope this helps...

You can buy bareMinerals in Sephora, or there is also a french website for these products. Just type in bareMinerals and when the website comes up, go the currency symbol to the top right and go to the 'France' site. Enjoy.
