Leslie Blodgett has always broken the rules. It started with sneaking out wearing makeup despite her mother's disapproval. But her cosmetics rebellion soon turned to a passion as she embarked on 23 years of education and experience in cosmetics. With this solid foundation behind her, Leslie joined Bare Escentuals as CEO in 1994, setting out on an extraordinary journey to bring the healthy beauty products she loved into the hearts and homes of women everywhere.

It takes an unconventional thinker to start a revolution, and that's exactly what Leslie is. Thanks to her incredible intuition, Leslie launched bareMinerals, the pioneering line of 100% pure bareMinerals products, in 1995. The industry –and the women it serves –had never seen anything like it. Word of mouth spread, a fervent customer community was born, and in 2001, bareMinerals became the #1 selling brand on QVC.

As Creator of bareMinerals and Executive Chairman, Bare Escentuals, Leslie's warm personality sets the tone for the entire company. The key to her enormous and ever-growing popularity is her approachability. Everyone feels like they can talk to Leslie –because they can. She receives thousands of letters and emails each week, and she personally responds to them all. It's a perfect example of how Leslie makes sure there's a human connection with everything she does, so she's not just a makeup authority, but a girlfriend.

Leslie is continually inspired by women everywhere. She has tremendous admiration for her mother, a single mom, and her grandmother, whose striking picture, circa the 1930's, led her to create the "Getting Gorgeous Collection."

When she's not busy breaking the mold, Leslie cherishes her life at home with her family: her husband, Keith (who gives 100% as a stay-at-home dad), teenage son, Trent, and their dog, Kiko.
