Usage

Our Team Suggests:

For an effortless wash of color, use a fluffy brush (such as our ESSENTIAL BLENDER Dual-Ended Eye Brush) to sweep shadow all over your lid and into the crease, blending upward to diffuse visible edges.

For a more intense wash of color, layer 2 or more shades with different finishes to build a seamless dimensional look.

For an easy smoky eye, apply a deeper matte shade to your lid, and blend a lighter shimmering shade over it, diffusing any obvious lines with a fluffy blending brush.

Wrap color around your lower lash line with a smaller tapered brush.

Finish your look with MINERALIST Lasting Eyeliner and STRENGTH & LENGTH Serum-Infused Mascara or LASHTOPIA Mega Volume Mineral-Based Mascara.

Tips:

Prep your lids with PRIME TIME Eyelid Primer to create a smooth base and to boost color impact.
Be your own artist. Mix, match and layer shades to create custom looks — there is no wrong combination.
Blending is key — use a fluffy blending brush such as our ESSENTIAL BLENDER Dual-Ended Eye Brush to diffuse colors together until there are no obvious lines.
For more intense color, use a flat tapered brush such as our DRAMATIC DEFINER Dual-Ended Eye Brush to build color on the lid, and blend up and out with a fluffy blending brush.

Delicate, pretty shades
I love the soft watercolor like finish of these shades. For me, they feel natural and pretty. I have used each color individually and also layered them and I think both ways work well. Such an easy go-to palette. The colors can be built up but, if you are looking for stark, vibrant colors, then this would not be the palette for you. I can also attest that they last a long time and don't seem to crease up. Really happy with my purchase.

Completely pointless
Over 15 years ago Bare Minerals moved from the Shopping channel into the major (high end) department stores in the UK. They were different from all the other brands with their use of powders over the creams and compressed powders used elsewhere, and had a vast range of colours to suit every mood/skin tone/occasion. Since then the rot has set in. The colour range is now extremely limited, and there is not a loose powder in sight except for the classic foundation which seems to be making a comeback and they moved out of the independent store in Harrogate and have a tiny stand in Boots instead.
On to this product, the Mineralist Rosewood eyeshadow palette. All I can say is don't bother, I stood for an age in front of my mirror swirling my brush in the darker shades applied to the crease, and there was nothing, I repeated this exercise several times before finally I detected a shadow, at which point I gave up because this was only the right eye and I would be late for work if I continued this pointless exercise. I don't know what has happened, but please sort out the formulas, eye shadow that doesn't transfer is a waste of time, don't talk about layering - we don't have time unless we spend our days sitting in front of a phone recording TikTok/YouTube videos, bring back the colour range and the powder formulation that worked so well wet and dry, and stop selling rubbish.
