The Original Get Started® Kit 3-Piece Mineral Makeup Set

I am not new to Bare Minerals having first purchased about 20 yrs ago, however now that I’m not going to work daily I don’t get through a large pot very quickly so these dinky sizes are perfect and also good for travel. It probably takes a little longer to apply with the small brush. The brush has evolved into another shape which I like. I’ve only used the kit once but I’m pleased.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion). So this kit comes with everything you need to rock the look - powder foundation, setting powder, and brush. I really like the coverage you can get with this foundation, it feels light and looks like my skin but better. It has a slide lock on the foundation and I swear you barely need to uncover 2-3 holes or you'll be at risk for pouring too much! Unfortunately, I found the swirl-tap-buff routine took too long to achieve desired coverage (light) than most of my light liquid foundations or skin tints, and if you add too much too fast you will look cakey. I wish the powder had the slide lock like the foundation because it's a nightmare to deal with if too much sits out. I will continue to use this for special occasions or when I have the time but I will not likely purchase.

The foundation is perfect and now my number one go to since using it. I hate seeing my pores when I wear makeup and this has helped hide them tremendously. Long lasting even in the heat of the day. I'll definitely be getting more when I run out! I love this set so much!

I love this foundation; the medium beige is close to tan and is buildable to the coverage you want and sweat resistant; it doesn't run down your face and transfer to clothing even in 90 degree weather sweating profusely after walking 12 miles midday. The only thing i absolutely abhor about this product is the packaging. The spin click and swirl system is ok; but the plastic is cheap and is difficult to click back in place after turning it.

I was initially afraid, since I have mature senior skin, that the loose powder foundation would sit in my fine lines and make me look older. But quite the opposite, it gave my skin a smooth flawless finish and the brush made it so easy to apply. The mineral veil helped "set" the foundation to make it longer-lasting, too.

I enjoyed how it spread on my face and it is not cakey or lingers in my nose area. I really like the mini brush, it's compact but sturdy. I also really liked the packaging. Again, long time since I've bought loose makeup, so I was not expecting to he protector. I used to hate how you had to be careful or it would spill everywhere.
