ORIGINAL Liquid Mineral Concealer

At some point, it seems Bare Minerals had changed the shade of these concealers. I just purchased a medium/tan-n because I needed a darker shade for summer. But the coloring is lighter than the medium-n tint I already have. Now I have no idea what shade to get to match my skin. Super frustrating given how expensive they are.

I’m at the point of wanting to try something from Amazon. I’ve purchased makeup from Aldi - my local grocery store - that smells better. I understand the whole point is for the concealer (which I use as foundation, by the way) to be “natural,” but a pleasant vanilla or some other kind of aroma would elevate this product. It also takes me several attempts when trying different products from this site to find the right shade each time. I believe this one is still a hint too orange and won’t work for me in winter when I lose my tan… though, to be fair, I have to clean my brush. Regardless, at this price point, I’m less willing to try the fairest shade because I’m worried it’ll be too pale and don’t want to deal with the hassle of a return. Additionally, I’m super disappointed with how small the bottle is (about the size of my pinky finger) for the cost and don’t love the applicator, which is supposed to feel like a paintbrush, I guess. Finally, I put on a light amount each morning and find it still cakes on my skin to where I can feel the layer. I like to be quick about my makeup routine and wish it felt more natural (without having to use setting spray). There are just better products out there where you get more for your money.

This concealer is expensive but blends ok for me as long as I have powder makeup to go in top of it. I can't really wear it alone like I could with NYX concealer. My main complaint is how much product I loose due to the tube design. It doesn't twist all the way down when completely closed and oozing out creating a mess in my make up bag and loss of money.
