Why you'll love it:
I love this eye shadow and I have been buying it for about 17 years or wait...no 21 years now!!!! 😲 That's awesome and shows how loyal I have been to Bare Minerals! I love ALL their products and I'll never stop loving them so try the starter kit n get hooked today! Cheryl Fernandez ps I even sleep in my makeup without having breakouts! I'll never buy anything else! N the price is so good too!!!
BareMinerals Loose Powder Eyeshadow is the best! I love how they blend and are easy to apply. I also love mixing wet and dry combos for different intensities of color. I wet the eyeshadow for a more intense/bold/dramatic look. I probably have 100+ colors that I have collected over the years. I have been using this product since I was 16, and this is the only type of eyeshadow I use.
Nice enough color, but much lighter and *super* shiny, which I could not see in the online photo. Thought it was a matte formula, never would have bought this. I strongly recommend that the online descriptions include whether the product is shiny or matte. It already feels like a gamble buying cosmetics online, please help customers make more accurate decisions.
After using Bare Minerals eyeshadow for several years I recently purchased more directly from the website. I like the shadow because it is easy to apply and stays put. I was looking for a medium brown and bought two that were in stock and looked closest to brown, Drama and Pussycat. Unfortunately they are both WAY too metallic, it's like they are all gold pigment. Usually I can mix the different powders to get a color I love, but there's no way to blend and cover the shininess of these. I wish the description would have said "metallic" and not "medium bronze".
I’m 67. I think the powder eye shadow is best for my age. Liquid usually settles in the creases and I find the same happens with the cream-to-power formulas as well. I can easily control where to apply the powder and can add more for a buildable color. I use Cultured Pearl as a base completely covering the eye from lash to brow, then use Drama in the crease to add depth. My eyes are a bit hooded, so the Cultured Pearl highlights the brow and lid close to the lash line. Gives my eyes more definition. I like the fact that I’m using clean makeup on my skin.
