SKINLONGEVITY® Sérum Potenciador de la Barrera Cutánea 50 ML

I love this serum and have been using it for many years. Recently the bottle was re-designed and the top is defective. When you pull the cap off , the pump is stuck in the cap! I wrote to customer service and they recommend that I twist the cap in the opposite direction to tighten it and then the other direction. This worked. However, on my 2nd and 3rd orders, the same thing has happened. I tried to twist in the opposite direction, but the cap seems to be “stripped” and just keeps turning without tightening. I ended up using the serum without the pump. I have not contacted customer service before writing this review so I hope someone reads this.

I have been a customer of bareMinerals for over 20 years. The biggest reason I started wearing makeup in my 30s was because I fell in love with their all mineral face powders. It's important to me to use products that have simple ingredients that aren't harmful to animals or the environment (or my somewhat sensitive skin).

I am now 52 and my skin has grown looser over the past decade. When I discovered the original Skinlongevity Long Life Herb Serum about 5 years ago, I noticed a huge difference. The skin on my face was less saggy and noticeably firmer to the touch. Amazing! I used it twice a day ever since. Until...they replaced the formula. I tried a whole bottle of the new formula and could feel the sagginess return. At first I thought it might be my imagination. But then I found the old formula on another skin care website and when I started using it again- instant firmness. If the old Long Life Herb Serum is not brought back, then I'm going to have to find a better product with another company.

For some time my wife has been using the Bare Minerals Skinlongevity Long Life Herb Serum as a foundational product in her overall routine. My wife's skin is very sensitive and she is particularly careful about what she puts on her skin. The old formula was a miracle for her. Her skin was at its best with the Long Life Herb Serum. No wrinkles, soft, refreshed, beautiful skin. NO MORE! The new formula leaves her skin dry and anything but refreshed. She tried and tried the new formula and it just doesn't work. Please re-address this change and return the superior product to your formerly dedicated customers.

This is not the SkinLongevity Serum that I loved and bought for years. I wish I'd known that before I bought more of this... I wouldn't have. The new formula is thicker, doesn't blend into my skin as well and is not the same fragrance. It used to be light and refreshing, the scent was mild yet very pleasant... I looked forward to this every morning. And now I do not. The new version is pretty like any other serum out there. I'm 75 years old and have bought my share of different skin care and make up over the years. It's always disappointing when favorite products are altered or eliminated. I have to say, though, I've experienced more of this with Bare Minerals than any other brand. Lip pencils, eye brow pencils, eye shadows... I've had to shift gears, go to other brands, etc. and it's just very disappointing. If you ever mess with Complexion Rescue, that will be the end for me.
