Not sure what is going on with product development are bareMinerals but seems like they either don't test new formulations enough, don't compare it to older versions, or don't care ... one attempt at application of the new formulation would tell you it is totally inferior to the original product.
It seems impossible to get the great, even, flawless coverage achievable with the old formulation. Like so many other reviewers have said, it's very loose in the pan (probably why many customers find their foundation is delivered broken) and any bareMinerals brush (including the one I use with the old BarePro for *years*) therefore picks up far too much product. Either this is wasted tapping off (as they recommended to me when I complained; conveniently for sales this means you have to repurchase much more frequently - the foundation in my photo has been used once a week for a couple of months, not every day for 3 months as I previously wore it, and I've hit pan already) or the finish is patchy and cakey (not helped by the new formulation of the SPF primer which *never* dries down!).
Customer service have admitted that bareMinerals don't actually have a brush on the market that they would recommend to use with BarePro ("a brush with denser bristles or a flat-top design might pick up less product, allowing for a lighter and more controlled application". Funny, that sounds just like the brush I mentioned having used with BarePro for years, which *doesn't work anymore*). And yet…
